We were filming on-location in Birr Co. Offaly yesterday for the Irish Archaeology Field School. Most of our day was spent between the fantastic Birr Castle Gardens and the beautiful new campus of the Irish Heritage School at John's Hall. A highlight of our day was interviewing the owner of Birr castle Lady Rosse in her Archive room within the castle. Here is Chris in said room.

A wonderful film about thatching and the master craftsmen who still put these beautiful roofs up. The park is full of thatched roofs and it was amazing to see two very skilled men working on one of those roofs.

Electric Picnic

HedgeRadio was honoured to work with Children's Books Ireland this year on the Laureate na nÓg project, Eoin Colfer was the main man bringing his stories and other authors with him to far flung places around the country. It was all wound up for Eoin last night and we had a great night at L'Ecrivain Restaurant. Listen back to the podcasts and let the stories live on. And I did not dance in a cage with Seamus Redmond.
