Located in San Miguel de Allende, , a town rich in cultural and architectural history, boutique hotel serves as a platform for craft culture. Designed by , the studio incorporated beautiful Mexican crafts and local artisanal techniques in to the interior’s glazed ceramics, pasta tiles, and clay slabs.

Leïla Menchari, the Tunisian designer who elevated window dressing to an art form with her spectacular designs for , has passed away in Paris at the age of 93.

Born in 1927 in Tunis, trained as a fine art painter in Tunis and Paris. After a brief stint as a model for Guy Laroche, she started working under ’ former head of windows, Annie Beaumel, in 1961.

She took over designing the house’s windows from 1978 to 2013, working with a number of artisans from the universe and beyond, ranging from stone-cutters to sculptors, while also directing the Hermès color committee, which sets the trends for the house’s famed silk scarves.

With elegance and subtlety, he managed to give a second life to this incredible place by mixing contemporary works of art and pieces of design. In the , a ceramic sculpture by sits on the custom Calacatta Oro marble fireplace flanked by ’s bronze and alabaster Melange sconces.

Southeast Asia’s first Waldorf Astoria has finally debut in the heart of Thailand’s capital, Bangkok. The 57-storey hotel designed by André Fu’s studio .f.s.o, is heavily influenced by the rich artisanal aspects of Thai culture and also the luxurious features of Waldorf Astoria itself.

Combining design characters of the past and the present day, an Art Dèco style and modern massive floor-to-ceiling windows are utilized throughout the premise. With all these sophisticated details, guests will have their senses filled with indulgence.
