🇮🇩 Jakarta ,Indonesia
Jakarta International Stadium (JIS; Indonesian: Stadion Internasional Jakarta) is a retractable roof football stadium in Tanjung Priok, Jakarta, Indonesia. It is the home ground of Persija Jakarta after moving from their previous stadium, Gelora B**g Karno Stadium, and the occasional home of the Indonesia national football team, after an agreement between PSSI and PT JAKPRO to use the facility.
The stadium has a compact, enclosed design. The field is surrounded by three-tiered, elevated stands, sloped at 24, 29, and 32 degrees. The lowest rows of the stands are slightly above pitch level. The stands have a simple shape, with rows of seats parallel to the sidelines and ends of the field, with rounded corners. The upper edges of the stands curve, reaching their highest point midway along the field and lowest at the corners, so that the stands conform to the oval shape of the facility.
The stands are equipped with orange or gray folding plastic seats, with orange being the dominant color (gray seats are found only in the upper sections, where they blend with the orange seats to form a mosaic). The stadium has a capacity of 82,000 spectators. LED screens are located in two corners. The stands along the field, on both sides, have premium areas. A total of 186 VIP seats, 1,610 box seats, 3,490 open-air business seats, and 316 media seats are available.
The auditorium is entirely covered by a permanent canopy made of a large truss structure. The roof also features two movable sections. When these sections are closed, the roof is also closed, including the center stage.
The roof is primarily made of sheet metal, with transparent sections made of ETFE polymer at the ends closest to the slope (the movable sections are also transparent). The canopy is partially covered with photovoltaic panels, although these panels only cover a relatively small area. Surrounding the roof are terraces offering views of the metropolis and the nearby sea.
Below the stands are nine floors of facilities, including meeting rooms and commercial spaces. From the outside, the stadium is covered by a facade formed by vertical, convex, and perforated strips of aluminum. These perforations form a pattern that mimics the stripes of a tiger. The slits on the exterior allow for better ventilation inside the stadium. At night, the facade can be illuminated.
The facility is surrounded by an elevated main entrance, which is extended by two wide pedestrian walkways running east and west. Adjacent to the stadium are two full-size training fields, equipped with simple stands, lighting, and, like the main stadium pitch, hybrid synthetic turf. There's also parking inside the arena. The venue is located not far from the city center, next to a small lake and the Jakarta North Ring Road.
