"God Is a DJ" is a song by British group Faithless, written by Maxi Jazz, Rollo, Sister Bliss, and Jamie Catto

It was released on 24 August 1998 as the lead single from their second studio album, Sunday 8PM (1998)

The title and core lyric originated from words on a T-shirt worn to rehearsal by the band guitarist Dave Randall

Maxi Jazz, as a frontman has died on december, 24th 2022 at the age of 65

The official cause of death has not been revealed yet, however Sister Bliss said Jazz died peacefully in his sleep

Sister Bliss said: “Maxi Jazz 1957 – 2022. We are heartbroken to share that Maxi died peacefully in his sleep last night. Sending love to all of you who shared our musical journey. Look after each other y’hear.”
