I’ve seen some recent posts complaining about how the passion is gone or the soul has gone from today’s scene and that “back in the day…” and etc.. funny is that back in the day when I was coming up there were also people complaining that “back in the day…” and I can confidently predict that a few years from now some people will be singing the same tune, nothing new under the sun.
I can only speak for myself and what I’ve witnessed, so for me, my passion is here and I try to give my soul to the music I make and the gigs I have and I know quite a few people who are even more passionate than me. I was lucky enough to attend and play at some amazing events this year in UAE, where the people behind them are all about passion and went ahead with their event knowing that they will probably have financial losses.
The soul and the passion is there, you can find it if you want to, but if you keep going to the bigger soulless and commercial events while complaining that “back in the day…”, you are part of the problem.
