Host by Philippine Consulate General in Hong Kong, the 126th Anniversary of the Proclamation of Philippine Independence was successfully held last night (12 Jun 2024). Led by our Consul Gen Germinia Aguilar-Usudan, the importance of Hong Kong during the history of Filipino people was once again highlighted. She also took this opportunity to hail the contribution of the country's more than 200,000 domestic helpers in Hong Kong. From Hong Kong government, Financial Secretary Paul Chan and Labour & Welfare Secretary Chris Sun were among the guests at an event. Paul Chan hailed the economic ties between HK and the Philippines, as well as the people-to-people bond. #126thphilippineindependenceday

Matagumpay na ginanap ang Migrant Workers Day noong Linggo (Hunyo 2) sa Chater Road, Hong Kong. Ito ay handog sa atin ng Department of Migrant Workers, OWWA Hong Kong, Philippine Consulate General in Hong Kong at Global Alliance Hong Kong bilang kick-off na pagsisimula sa pagdiriwang ng ika-126 na Araw ng Kalayaan ng Pilipinas.
Ang iba't ibang organisasyong Pilipino ay lumahok sa iba't ibang pagtatanghal, kabilang ang zumba, street dance, mass dance, gayundin ang dalawang paligsahan, OFWs Got Talent at Battle of the Bands.
Ang OWWA administrator na si Arnell Ignacio ang nagbigay ng keynote address. Nagbigay ng mensahe ng suporta para sa lahat ng OFW sina Consul General Germinia Aguilar-Usudan, at Labor Attaché Melchor Dizon.
