Is it a restaurant🍝? Is it a ferry⛴️? It’s the Jumbo Floating Restaurant in Aberdeen🎣. Although it’s temporarily closed so you can’t try the food, you can still get a sampan 🛶 to admire its decoration and history. Alternatively, try the sampan noodles 🍜 in Aberdeen which is a sampan kitchen takeaway.

❄️ho-ho-ho! 🎅is coming to town! Do you know what people in 🇭🇰 liked to do during Christmas in 90s?

During Xmas's past, a favourite activity was heading out to East Tsim Sha Tsui to enjoy the Christmas decorations and lights put up over the buildings 💡🎄

In recent years, there is now less lighting due to the high cost and diminished skill for creating the set up but this how now been replaced with more modern and stylish indoor displays in the Malls. Not just the traditional Santa Claus🎅 ideas are shown, more creative, interactive displays and 3D designs with crossovers with various cartoon characters are popular lately.

This year even if we can't travel at Christmas we can still feel the Christmas Spirit here with so many great Xmas installations to visit with friends and family!

The video offers a jump back into Christmas's of the past here! 🎄🥂

Do all whisky bars all seem a little old fashioned? Not this one, say hello to APE (A Perfect Escape) in Tin Hau 🥃

Aimed at a younger (and more female friendly audience), the bar offers over 30 unique whiskys from independent bottlers and to go with them a selection of food that compliments the whiskys flavours (including a large desert section). Have you ever tried whisky paired with food before?

Amber is one of the best restaurants Hong Kong has to offer with Michelin-starred contemporary French cuisine made with the finest ingredients.

If it was your first time in Amber at The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong this restaurant will always give you joy and surprises. If it was not the first time, you will want to invite your friends to come because it always gives a pleasant and delicate experience and impacts all five of your senses🥰

Our Experience:

When we arrived at Amber, the receptionist gifted chocolates to welcome us, it was a start of a heart warming meal.

The interior design inside the restaurant was epic, the glass decoration on every table is a signature of Amber. When asked, the servers had a deep knowledge of every detail in the restaurant and about food and wine pairings.

The food was creative, a few times we could not tell what it was from their loos, even when we tasted them. The taste was sophisticated and often came as a surprise with quality overall was outstanding with the best ingredients and brought to the next level with the right wine pairing.

Amber had intended to allow us visiting its kitchen and greet the chefs, but it was suspended due to Covid-19.

HKers are always busy with work and get used to eating food on the fly so as to save time during hectic weekdays. Amber definitely is a good place to visit when we want to spend a few hours for just simply enjoying beautiful food with those we love during the weekend.

If you are a nature lover, Kam Shan Country Park will definitely make your day🤩

Besides enjoying the stunning natural scenery on offer⛰️🏵️🌳🍃🦋 you will also learn some of HK's WWII history. Today, you may also meet many of these little guys, the macaques 🐒🐵

Kam Shan Country Park is one of HK's first country parks! It is also famous for its macaques🐒 living on 'Monkey Mountain' in the park.

📜History lesson: During WWII, in preparation for the Japanese invasion, defending British troops dug air raid shelters, bunkers and trenches in the region. This 18-mile defence, named 'The Gin Drinker's Line' can still be viewed today, though remember to bring a torch (and watch your head!)

The underground tunnels connecting the bunkers are all named after famous London streets 🇬🇧 how many can you find?

P.S. Please don't take plastic bags or food with you during the hike, or go too close to the macaques 🙃🙈
