Hello Beautiful😊
I am a Gal over 40 (insert smile emoji) and these are the things that keep my brain free for the BIG IDEA
*I use a Note Book and Pen*-
Yup, you read that right, a good ole' fashion notebook and pen. I use this as my “brain dump”. I write everything that comes to mind, it does not have to make sense to anyone but me. A thought flashed across my mind as I was writing this caption on Imposter Syndrome and yes…you guessed it, I stopped and made a note of it for later. You see I use my brain to come up with ideas and not to store them.
*Google Task or any task App that you use*:
After this brain dump in my notebook, I transfer this mess into a sane string of words as task and sub-task (if a task has to be broken down into steps). Here is where I assign due dates etc. I use Google Tasks and an app called Task Board (Free Version of course) on this I have a whole system of creating different lists for different individuals (maybe I will do a post on this).
*WhatsApp pinned messages*:
I use this baby to the bone. Once a message comes in that has to be acted on later (important but not urgent )I pin it so that I can go back to it when I am brain dumping.
*Do not Separate Personal from Work*:
I keep things simple by using the same brain-dumping notebook for the personal and the work stuff. I only separate when I am imputing into my Task system.
Review :
I review often, in the afternoon, during the day, and in the morning.
This is my simple system for my overactive mind, it tames the crazy…lol and helps me stay on top of things. If this helps you in any way leave a comment.
Canva Updates
The Canva program is getting better and better every day. Here are 5 Awesome updates to help you create like a boss
1. * Google Sheet Integration - You can now integrate your google sheet to Canva. This works best if you create lots of graphs and charts using numbers and stats.
2. * Folder Location - If you have the Canva Pro- chances are you have seen this. When you go to all your design, the name of the folder that houses the design is at the bottom. When you click on the name of the folder it takes you to that folder where you can see all other saved designs in it.
3. * Page Linking - You can now link pages, for all you creators of EBooks and Presentations.
4. * Edit Image - They merged all the photo editing into Edit Image. You have to check it out and see how kool this one is.
5. * Sorting Folders - You can now sort all your assets within folders - by Alaphical Order or by Date Modified Order.
Canva is working on making things more user friendly and helping us be more productive.

When we are going alone, we are passionate about what we are creating and how we want to serve. It is easy to get carried away and try to focus on all your ideas at the same time.
Here are 5 Productivity Tips to Help you stay on track
1. Focus on one or two signature offers - Any more than this without help will scatter your focus and you will lose motivation to even try. Or worst, burnout.
2. Focus on Sales - What good is your product if you are not selling it? In your planning make a section for sales. Who is your offering for and how you would get the message to them? Cold calls, warm follow-ups, it's all, you baby.
3. Focus on your audience - This is so important, how will you sell if you don't know who and why you are selling to them. That is why it's important to engage with your tribe on your social channels. Build trust by giving them value without selling. Provide solutions to problems that they may have and build trust.
4. Plan for a smaller window of time - instead of focusing on a half year's plan or a year ahead, try planning for 90days at a time. make your plan simple.
Week 1 - work on updating all graphics on the website
Week 2 - work on making sure all the backlinks on my socials is working.
And such and such
5. Make time to RELAX - this does not have to be a fancy pansy, a simple morning cup of coffee while you chill for 5 to 10mins in the mornings. A stretch after a long day to calm your body. It could be a walk in the evening with your kids, your partner, your pet. Just remember, if you are not at your best then nothing you produce will be of the best version of you.
As a part-time freelancer and a full-time executive, it has always been hard for me to focus on too many things at a time. So taking One or Two things at a time has helped me tremendously.
What do you think? What would you add to the list?

Your VA is Not Your Employee
Your Virtual Assistant is NOT your Employee, he/she is a Contractor
This means that they will have their own hours. They may work from 9-5 or in the evenings, even between taking care of the kids.
These Contractors have specific skill sets that you hire them for, some maybe generalist, while others are Niched.
VA will have their own contracts and such. Before you hire a VA, you must first understand what exactly you need them for. There are various ways that a VA charges - per hour, per task/project or even a monthly retainer.
So now you know, how will this help you when you are ready to hire a Virtual Assistant?
This Monday, I will be thankful.
This Monday, I will be filled with Energy
This Monday, I will set the tone for the rest of the week
What are you guys up to this Monday?🙃🙃.
Are you tracking your fails & your wins?
We often like to just look at the best parts of our day, or the fact that we achieve something...eventually.
But the real growth is in the stumbles...the falls and the rising up.
There is no one who contributes to the world, that has not failed at something or sometimes everything.
I find that by tracking my fails I am better able to understand what I need to work on.
Are you tracking? Let's talk about 👇
Are you tired, overwhelmed and frustrated?
Do you think you are not going fast enough, far enough...getting there quickly quickly...
STOP...SIT
Close your eyes
Think about from where you start.
Think about how far you have come.
See your struggle and honor it.
See your progress and applaud it
There is a season for everything and maybe just maybe this is your season to rest.
Rest...breathe...then come 2021...let's ROAR together.
