The Ministry of Education on Tuesday launched a pilot project to improve Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) Mathematics grades, with a stern warning that under-performing teachers would be moved. Former Finance Minister, Winston Jordan on Friday recommended that government cut various types of "waste" and eventually introduce employee appraisal in order to pay teachers and other government workers increased salaries. Former long-serving Chairman of Region Four, Alan Munroe died on Friday at a city hospital, his party, the People's National Congress Reform (PNCR) said in a statement.
