From: Food For The Poor Guyana Inc.

FFTP is excited to announce its ongoing collaboration with the Sheshines Foundation, a arm of Project: New Nation a community based development Non-Governmental Organisation located in Bartica, Region 7. The current engagement is aimed at gaining a comprehensive understanding of the Sheshines Foundation, including the challenges faced by the group, the needs of the communities they serve, and recommended solutions.

The first session of this 4 part engagement is currently underway and focuses on understanding the individuals within the Sheshines Foundation through the “I Am” series, as well as examining the group dynamics.

This initial session will provide valuable insights into the personal backgrounds and aspirations of the foundation’s members, setting a solid foundation for the subsequent sessions.

The four-part engagement series is designed to:

• Understand the Group and Individuals: Through the “I Am” series, FFTP aims to explore the personal stories and experiences of the Sheshines Foundation members, fostering a deeper connection and understanding.

• Identify Challenges: By closely interacting with the foundation, FFTP seeks to identify the key challenges faced by the group and the communities they serve.

• Assess Community Needs: FFTP will work with the foundation to assess the specific needs of the communities in Bartica and Region 7, ensuring that the support provided is tailored and impactful.

• Recommend Solutions: Based on the insights gained, FFTP will collaborate with the Sheshines Foundation to recommend and implement effective solutions to address the identified challenges and needs.

This engagement series is a significant step towards understanding and addressing the needs of the communities in Bartica and Region 7, and FFTP is committed to working closely with the Sheshines Foundation to create sustainable solutions.”

The collaboration between Food For the Poor Guyana Inc. and Project New Nation underscores the importance of community-driven development and the power of partnerships in making a lasting impact.

Ministry of Tourism, Industry and Commerce Region 7 Outreach.

The ministry's agencies are currently under the white tent at the Bartica Community Centre Ground- Basketball Tarmac. The team is in Bartica to assess the delivery of its services and determine ways to enhance operations in the region.
