I often traveled from Crete through the Epirus region on the highway towards Igoumenitsa, not having much time to stop for a while to discover the region. I managed to fix it in the last few days. Yesterday, for example, I visited beautiful Parga.

I love looking at the sky and browsing it, just like our ancestors, to be able to travel back in time. The beginning of August always brings me back to my childhood when I spent long hours finding constellations. In Crete, the conditions for observing the celestial vault are excellent in many places.

I have been waiting for a long time for the beginning of August when the first lunar phase (New Moon) begins in the sky. The plan was to take photos of the Milky Way and the sunset and sunrise from the peak of Psiloritis. I managed to do this partly despite the wonderful conditions in the sky. Unfortunately, at the very top the wind at one point did not allow for long exposure photography and I had to move lower where there was not so much wind. Below are some photos from this solo trip, which I consider very successful.

Before the Goat Full Moon, I visited Preveli Beach where I found myself at the end of the golden hour. Without moving too far away, I smoothly moved to the golden moon... Finally, I discovered where Prometheus was really chained to the rock…🤫
