Have you already checked our "Youth Entrepreneurs Club"? It’s a platform for Social Activism and Social Entrepreneurship. Here you will find online learning courses with two main parts, named as E-seed (Entrepreneurship seed) and E-Stream (Entrepreneurship stream).

Our Volunteer Sana Lisova already received a Certificate of E-Learning. "This training is designed to give some tips on how to promote their works in various channels in order to be part on the online networks and market. The course explains how to address real social problems in your community, how to find solutions, it provides social entrepreneurship skills, the tools and methods to create innovative ideas. Also, you could ask expert database with all the relevant issues. The study was instantaneous, a lot of interactive, useful tips and practical tasks. I definitely recommend it to all!", - she said.

We succesfully launched the Art & Cycle Project "Solidarity Trails: cycling around the Lefkada lagoon". The event was attended by more than 50 people (locals and international volunteers).

The main aim of the event is to promote cycling activity as an alternative way of sustainable development of Lefkada island and as a means of social integration and acceptance of all different social groups.

Apart from being a means of transportation and sports activity, the bicycle is also a means of socializing citizens. We're promoting Lefkada as a safe and open place for cycling for all citizens regardless of age, physical training, nationality etc.

Within the event we organized an artistic workshop for decorating bicycles with paper, balloons and fabrics. The cycling route around the lagoon (approximately 8 km) passed with the help of the Municipality and the Police of Lefkada.

Our team joined the Art exhibition "Dream Points" by Greek visual artist Babis Pilarinos* which is accompanied by poetic texts by Noni Stamatelou. Painting exhibition took place at the "Theodoros Stamos" Art Gallery, organized by the Cultural Center of the Municipality of Lefkada.

Art works of Babis Pylarinos lead to an invisible, an inward-textured associative landscape. He use a gentle light, which does not blind but caresses the eye, spreads diffused without casting, threatening shadows and reveals hidden aspects of ourselves, dripping with nostalgia. Interior landscapes of our childhood and aromas forgotten by reaped wheat, by half-lit and wet arches, a dance voluptuous of the senses. The painting of Pylarinos, like a warm summer rain, submits the materiality through the incarnation, takes flesh from the dream and transforms it into an image.

The value of culture plays an important role in these difficult times within the practical support in every effort of cultural development in country.

The exhibition will last until May 7 and will be open daily 11.00-13.00 and 19.00-21.00, except Sunday morning and holidays.

*Professional activity of Babis Pilarinos is painting of (holy) icons, wall painting in churches, landscape paintings in his way, illustration of folktales books, he creates outdoor painting installations and animation films with his painting. His art work are in many school books. He teaches Byzantine iconography in the form of seminars and courses in Athens, Zakynthos and Paris. He also teaches in the Austrian Summer Academy Sommerakademie Griechenland (SOAK). He is a member of the “Greek Chamber of Fine Arts” and the group of iconographers Ochra. He exhibits his works usually every two years in Athens in his atelier (Mitropoleos Square 11), in Paris (Rivoly 59 gallery, Melkert gallery, Desmos gallery), and in Zakynthos for one night in outdoor places of historical and natural interest.

Our Project “Сlandestine immigration: Awareness & Inclusion through ART” has successfully been realized thanks to European programme Erasmus plus.

On 27th of April we held a dissimination event in Lefkada Cultural center to present the results of all the Project stages and raise the public’s awareness about the danger of clandestine immigration.

The main aim of the Project was to develop a new skill in order to support young people from immigrant background or wishing to emigrate in the frame of the human rights values.

During the Project we raised awareness against illegal immigration via theater practices, created tools & innovative methods of education about immigration through art and theater and developed a professional network between Euro Med youth workers.

Thus, we implemented following activities:
- Discussion meeting of methods and tools of the Project with the purpose of educational and non-formal activities for inclusion through theatrical practice; a research/survey about youth immigration (causes, consequences, local realities in the partner countries).
- Training course to develop knowledge and competences about the dangers of clandestine immigration and the potency of the theatrical initiatives as a way to promote young people’s education, social inclusion and well-being in their countries.
- Youth exchange and the local theatre workshops to exchange the beneficiaries’ good practices in the theatre field for inclusion focusing on immigration.
- Local events to disseminate the results and raise the public’s awareness about the danger of clandestine immigration (workshops, video shooting, round-table discussions, etc.) by each partner.
- Evaluation meeting to access the project and make a plan to ensure sustainability.

On the special occasion of Easter Solidarity Tracks Volunteers created postcards for the Elderly Care Center of Lefkada.

Within the workshops we created something unique and special with a warm touch of our creativity and wonderful Easter spirit. We painted cards with ornaments using colored pencils, paper, paint and other art supplies.

There is a tradition of carrying candles to the church for the Resurrection of Christ, usually candles are within a huge variety of colours and designs. Thus, we decorated candles making a unique self-made artwork and sharing our creativity.

Our team visited the traditional annual concert of the Music School of Lefkada.

Young musicians presented the work done in the ensemble during the school year, mixing traditional and art, Western and Eastern music through well-known melodies.

ACCESSIBLE SPORT FOR EVERYONE
Within the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace, Solidarity Tracks and our Ukrainian Volunteer Sana Lisova held an activity on one of the central squares of Lefkas.

We brought people together giving an opportunity to try different sports exercises just open air. Within the Sport session Sana wanted to show the positive role sport and physical activity play in communities and in people’s lives. Sport has fundamental rights and a powerful tool to strengthen social ties and promote sustainable development and peace, as well as solidarity and respect for all.

To start doing exercises does not require much time, special equipment, amount of money or any additional things!
