Dinos Koubatis was born in Athens. He has followed, the French Literature and on the other hand the Art Dramatic and the School of Journalism in Paris. He followed also the famous School Jacques Lecoq of mimic art. He also studied English and Italian Languages. Docteur Laureatus of the University of Valencia and the Scientific Society of Kiev.
As a theater director He has created –for the theater in Greece, Paris, Brussels and Toronto more than a hundred theater plays from Sofokleus and Shakespeare, to Molière, Goethe, Tennessee Williams, Eugenio Ionesco and Fernando Arabal. For this enormous and severe work has gained the International Prix Ionesco.
As a theater writer, he has written forty-five plays and among them twelve have hade premiere in Athens, Salonika, and Toronto, as in TV and many radio stations.
As a writer, he has published more than 25 books in Greece and aboard, among them: Poetry: “My soul Jerusalem”, “The death of the City”, “How the children sing”, “Ode at the Peace” (for which has gained The Mendail d’ Or of Academy in Letters of France, and the central poem had been the Hymn of the Olympic Flame all over the world even in the Organization of the United Stations) and rescently “Faute d’ Amour” in Paris. Essay: “The unknown prophet Angelos Sikelianos and the metaphysic elements in his work” (best-seller 1983), “Eve Palmer, and example for the life” (Honored, golden medal in 1992), “Jhon Koutsoheras, the poet of the sensibility” “For a better Theater”, “The Role’s psychology as a basic fact for the development of a theater play”, “Letter to a yound theater-director”. Historical romances: “My beloved Hivali” (best-seller 2006-2007), “She was born poor and has lived as a princess”, “Iliana, our life ends under the tanks”, “Smerna in flames”, etc. From TV emissions: “In Piraeus”, “Smerna in flames”,etc.
He has worked in several TV and radio posts, and as director for fourteen years at the radio “Voice of Salamis”.
As editor, he has published several literature and theater magazines, and at this present moment the newspaper “The voice of Salamis” and the magazine of literature “Kouarios”.
