Meet the Jury #4

Our jury for the AGMA 2024 season consists of six distinguished artists! Let's take a look at them one by one.

Maria Taxidou - Soprano (Opera singer - Musicologist) 🎤🎼

She was born in Kazakhstan & began her musical journey there. She later moved to Greece where she continued her academic endeavors in music.

She earned a degree in musicology from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki & studied classical singing at the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki. She has a master's degree from the University of Music & Performing Arts in Stuttgart.

During her studies, she performed in roles such as Contessa Almaviva in Mozart's "Le Nozze di Figaro'', Micaela in Bizet's "Carmen." She made her debut as Despina in Mozart's opera 'Cosi Fan Tutte' at the Daegu Opera House in South Korea.

She is an active concert-oratorio singer in Greece & Germany, & has worked with various orchestras.
She won an award at the Greek National Vocal Competition in Thessaloniki & received a scholarship from the Friends of the State University of Music & Performing Arts in Stuttgart.

She recorded a CD titled "Rejoice" with vocal music composed by Kay Johannsen.

Meet the Jury #3 🎹🎧🎭

Our jury for the AGMA 2024 season consists of six distinguished artists! Let's take a look at them one by one.

Elias Kourtparasidis (Composer - Musicologist)
Born into a family with musical roots, he discovered the piano at the age of 7 & won his first composer's prize at the National Student Musical Competition at the age of 13.

He holds a bachelor's degree in music studies from the Ionian University of Corfu & an audio engineering diploma from SAE Athens.

He has composed music for films, television & theater. He shares his expertise as a musicologist, music teacher, audio engineer & sound designer. He has been involved in European projects, handling communication & media strategies, website development, social media administration & content creation.
His expertise extends to digital skills, including graphic design, video editing & music production.

As a disabled artist, Elias is committed to inclusive arts & co-founded ISON (ΙΣΟΝ Θέατρο - Χορός); the first theater & dance training center in Greece, which is also a black box theater.

Our jury for the AGMA 2024 season consists of six distinguished artists! Let's take a look at them one by one.

George Breadman (Singer - Songwriter - Actor)

Since 2005 he has participated in TV series, films, commercials, plays & musicals such as Les Miz & performed in concerts.
He is active on YouTube. Two of his covers have been awarded in international competitions.
In one of them, the jury consisted of Céline Dion's producers & collaborators.
He has twice participated in the virtual choirs of the Grammy-winning composer Eric Whitacre.

His voice type refers to a natural countertenor / high or light tenor.
His first single "What can break this echo" won more than 50 international awards.

Our jury for the AGMA 2024 season consists of six distinguished artists! Let's take a look at them one by one.

Christos Danakas - Pianist (Composer - Pianist)

He holds a bachelor's & master's degree in piano from the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik Trossingen in Germany, where he graduated with distinction.

He has won many prizes as a soloist at national & international competitions including the Greek Ministry of Culture Competition & the "W.A. Mozart" International Competition.

He lives in Germany where he gives concerts all over the country.
He teaches piano at conservatories & music academies in Stuttgart.
