Is really disheartening seeing some dangerous individuals who are doing everything humanly possible just to tarnish the good image of the Gambia 🇬🇲 in the name of politics.

Mr. tunko marena and his gang in the UK 🇬🇧, we are aware of your planned so-called protest to be held on Thursday in front of the Gambian high commision in London. This is just a reminder that those old styles of politics are no more applicable in today's Gambia.. Our country will remain democratic state, and no amount of your propaganda can change the status quo. Westerners, the international organisations, are more informed of the current happenings in the Gambia.
The president is a democrat who believes in the principal of democracy, but also is his duty to address issues that may cause serious problems in the country.

Insults are undemocratic, uncultured, and unreligious. Failure to address it may bring uncontrollable situations. The president pronouncement remained resonate, so whoever feels uncomfortable can relocate somewhere forever.

The West, you are bragging to be a democratic countries Have tough laws and tough regulations. No country is developed on insults and castigation.

President of the Republic of Finland Sauli Niinistö received credentials from Gambia new ambassadors to Finland at the Presidential Palace on Wednesday 27 September 2023.
Ambassador Fatou Bensouda was accompanied to the Presidential Palace by Her deputy Mr Sulayman Suntou Touray.

The Office of the President informs the public that His Excellency, President Adama Barrow has declared Thursday 28th September 2023, as a Public Holiday throughout the country, in observance of Mawlid Al-Nabi commonly known as “Gamo”.
The Office of the President wishes all Gambians and friends of The Gambia celebrating at home and abroad, a blessed celebration.

Honourable Maimuna ceesay darboe honoured the invitation extended to her to grace the final fitness tournament match at Paradise Layout.

Honourable maimuna ceesay was given the privilege to do the kick off.

Before the start of the game, she donated two sets of jerseys, football, and a cash amount of 5,000.

Honourable Ceesay advised the youths to be law-abiding .She told them to concentrate on their education and Sports.

It is with heavy heart that Nokoi Njie had succumbed to her illness. We are praying for Almighty Allah to give her janatul firdaus. She is indeed a an iconic figure in the a**l of the history of our country.
Contrary to what is trending on social media that late Nogoi NJIE died without receiving any compensation from the government is false. As attached in the above post is the judgement from the ECOWAS Court. She was among the 10 individuals who were awarded US$100, 000 each and government had paid all of them.

We are proud to announce that the honourable Minister of Health Dr. Ahmadou Lamin Samateh has actively participated in the United Nations High-Level Meeting on Pandemic Prevention, Preparedness, and Response (HLM-PPPR) convened by the President of the United Nations General Assembly on 20th September. At this historic gathering, leaders from around the world came together to enhance international cooperation in pandemic prevention, ensuring preparedness, and responding effectively to health crises. The Minister has played a pivotal role in shaping discussions, sharing our nation's expertise, and contributing to a safer and more resilient global community.

During his speech, the honourable minister highlighted some achievements The Gambia registered during the COVID-19 response, notably:

The establishment of sentinel sites that actively search for diseases of potential outbreaks. The Gambia has two such sites, and there are plans to expand gradually.

The capacity building and strengthening of laboratories with equipment and personnel to be able to do a wider range of investigations to detect early diseases of potential outbreak.

The construction of regional isolation and treatment centres so that the next outbreaks can be better contained in the country.

The capacity to produce medical-grade oxygen in the country through the support of partners like the Global Fund, UNDP, WHO, the World Bank, and the Government of Turkey for the first time. The shortage of oxygen in the country during the COVID-19 pandemic would now be history.

On his final note, he highlighted that The Gambia has recognized that inadequate global coordination and weak collaboration allowed the COVID-19 pandemic to spiral out of control. He, therefore, urged the international community to work together better and share timely information in a candid way in order to improve our preparedness and response for the next health crisis.

The HLM-PPPR represents a significant step towards creating a comprehensive and collaborative framework for pandemic prevention and response. We stand committed to working alongside the international community to fortify our defences against future health threats.

During his visit, the president was escorted by the party executive to tour around the building and see for himself the ongoing transformations ....
The president was delighted seeing the positive changes and encouraged the executive to do more to achieve our common goals.

President had a brief discussion with the national executive before joining the regional body.

Thank you Mr president for your enthusiastic participation. We couldn't have had such a fantastic Fimilarisation meeting without you.
