18 Individuals in Custody for Drug Trafficking
Authorities have apprehended 18 individuals in connection with drug trafficking and possession of prohibited substances.
The suspects were arrested in various locations across the country, with seized items including cannabis sativa, ecstasy pills, suspected kush, and co***ne.
The suspects, ranging from 20 to 45 years old, were found with concealed quantities of drugs in different forms, such as wraps, parcels, and bundles.
Authorities also discovered two plantations of suspected cannabis sativa near the Banjul City Council dumping site.
All individuals have been taken into custody as investigations into their respective cases continue.
