That there's light at the end of the tunnel does depend on the contextual realities faced.

In terms of achieving tremendous political change - sustainable and development oriented, the present political theatre must also change tremendously, otherwise, the same old wine in New bottles will continue dictating the political narratives to the detriment of the citizenry at large - worst of all low income earners and youths.

It's worthwhile reflecting on the political atmosphere, the state's governance status quo, getting answers as to the reason why it's almost not functional in terms of delivering services as expected.

It's high time scrutinizing that which characterizes our political consciousness - that which speaks volumes in moulding such a consciousness.

The politics of patronage, inducement, tribal adherence , dirty politics distractions and all what not.

What about the insincerity, dishonesty, inconsistency being displayed by influential elites, talk less of highly learned ones?

Are we issues oriented at all?

Should the aforementioned aspects continue to have the upper hand in characterizing and thus define our political consciousness and actions in terms of voting our
representatives, then seeing the light at the end of Gambia's political scene will take a long time.

Though " Rome wasn't built in a day" but in terms of the expected changes In the Gambia, it's indeed overdue .

A responsible state administration is expected to demonstrate its governance fashion most representative thus fulfilling the needs and aspirations of its citizenry to the utmost.

Imagine the average salary of an ordinary layman where, in reality, it's a matter of making ends meet.

The importance of contexts is crucial in terms of every given spheres of the society.

It's indeed morally and ethically wrong that representatives should pass a brutal salary bill tantamount to looting the state's coffers.

It's indeed overdue for the citizenry to collectively register their dissatisfaction over the bill - thus putting the state's administration to its appropriate place, accountability and good governance.

Enough of the looting in disguise.

Employment Rights Of A Citizen.

The average employees in both the government and the private sector go to work without breakfast.

Most of them don't have money to pay for transport fare, they mainly depends on leave or free ride.

Numerous staff work for five to 30 years of service but due to exploitation within the employment market they couldn't buy shelters or housing for themselves.

- Repayment period: Six months with a 15% administrative charge.
- Any member with Tobaski loan arrears shall not be eligible without full settlement
- Default in payment may utilize savings for balance recovery.
- Qualified applicants must visit any GSCCU branch with their forms.

Payment Schedule:
- Starts tomorrow, Tuesday, June 11th, and continues until Thursday, June 13th, 2024.
