HOW DOES BEING DIFFERENT MAKE YOU FEEL SPECIAL.

Being different,I felt being gifted and meliorated
Never do i like to be rated because I feared to be muted and cheated
Being different dissociated me from my associates, so I cogitated and felt ameliorated
I feared to be lured and deteriorated

This motivated and made me devoted to my faith
Like workaholics I struggle on a quotidian basis
Like Shakespeare I developed the love for the pen and paper
This continue later towards the latter and I was hail better and outstanding
For the grounds of righteousness I am standing
Mining the resources of hope and fame

Being different, I felt free like a bird in the forest
I elude pride,for pride is a flight that ride you to rust
Making horrors and burrows in your life
Be different and you will be special

The Zinger

A most read poem from Sirra, wondering if she is much smaller than she is👇

MY SIZE MY PLEASURE😍

What could i be like if i was two inches tall?
I would have to be careful that nobody stepped on me.
I would have to watch out for pets.
It would be very dangerous,but i just think of the things i could do.
I could live in a shoebox.
I could use a battle cover for a plate.
I would have wear dolls clothes.
Just a stamp would make the end of mylife.
I would need much food.
If i went outside grass would seem like a jungle.
An insect would be huge and frightening.
A puddle would seem to be an ocean.
A matchbox would make a good bed.
I could use a toothbrush to brush my hair.
But i won't find anything small enough to brush my teeth.
I could take a ride on the back of a mouse.
I would find any small book to read.
Being small might be fun,but it would be frightening.
I wouldn't want anything fall on me.
I would be able to be the ZINGER.
Fear will always win over me SO my size my pleasure....

*ORDEALS OF A STUDENT*
The breeze of the nights are cool
The silence of the nights are convenient for lull
The mattress of the bed is smooth
I'd really love to go and have a sound sleep
But I need to study for a good grade in school

The sweetness of the early morning sleep is captivative
The blanket is the hardest to separate from
The sound of the alarm clock is the most annoying and provocative
But I need to be in school today to be successful tomorrow

The road to school is rough
The lessons are hectic
The exams are tough
But I need to pass to make my way out

Sometimes the teacher wrongs me
Sometimes I falter and I have to endure the lashes of the cane
Or take detention or suspension
Sometimes I have to let the insults of my teachers go down my throat
Because I'm just a piece of wood in the hands of teachers carving it
I'm a student and these are what I go through

Monday (tomorrow) the 19th of October, 2020. marks one (1) year anniversary of poets diction. The Poetess group of four celebrating their incredible works in poetry within a year.

Yandeh Jangne, Sainabou Sey, Oumie Darboe and Mariama K Ceesay, are such a genius and active Poetess who made performances in 2019 'National poetry slam.' They also emerged the 2nd runner up in Poetry Cafe in partnership with WAG online poetry challenge, and 5th position in 'UN 75th anniversary in partnership with WAG and VAAG poetry competition.'

The four latrikunda/Bundung based poets are schooling (at senior level) and wish to bring unimaginable changes in the poetry arena.
