Gambia 🇬🇲 almost one year ago, I told you to remember this name Momodou Lamin Sonko.

This boy is a generational talent and one of the futures for the Gambia 🇬🇲

Momodou Sonko scored a hat trick today and provided an assist as his team defeated Jesper Ceesay and Yahya Kalley's team 4-1.

In March 2023, Momodou Sonko came from the bench to score and assisted against the same opponents he scored a hat trick today.

BREAKING 🚨

CAF has disqualified the Bakau Independence Stadium from hosting The Gambia’s next AFCON qualifier match against Congo after a preliminary inspection done on July 15.

Despite ongoing works to meet the requirements ahead of the final inspection in August as promised, the Ministry of Sports announced that the game has now been moved to Morocco.

Gambia’s coach, Tom Saintfiet sounds optimistic about the Gambia's chances of securing a maiden FIFA World Cup qualification.

“I think we can battle for the World Cup qualification until the last game, we have opportunities but it won't be easy but I believe in it;

Remember this name Momodou Lamin Sonko

18th-year-old Momodou Lamin Sonko makes his Champions League debut for his Swedish side Hacken in their 3-1 win over TNS FC in the first round of the Champions League Qualification.

The youngster was introduced in the 46th minute of the game to help his side's convincing 3-1 win over the Wales side TNS FC.

A win or draw in their return leg would give them a spot in the second round of the qualification.

Belgian side OH Leuven are another club interested in Salifu and they are also considering placing an offer soon.
