As Gambians, we continue to sit and watch Barrow personalised our national treasury and allow our resources to be wasteful on serving individual interests instead of national interest. How can we continue to sit and look at the president appointing low morals and persons with no integrity who failed to served the citizen's interest when they were giving the opportunity to served their country, they betrayed citizens by thrown out national programms that could change the lives and livelihoods of many citzens. How can a person who failed to served his/her country nationally been given the honour to represent that country internationally as a diplomat. What interest/benefit would they bring to the country?

This is another garbage of 14 added to the ongoing misery of Gambians, I believe Barrow is provoking citzens, since elected president, the cost of basic commodities has been skyrocketing daily, a cup of cooking oil in 2017, was only D7, the 20ltr gallon was at D900, today a cut of cooking oil is D27 and the 20 ltrs gallon is D2,250, the same thing goes to fuel, rice, flavour, sugar, palm oil and almost everything.has been triple in prises and the president says/does nothing about it.

But Since elected president, he increased his salary twice, in 2018 the president increased his own salary by 50% and again in 2022 just recently his salary was increased by 30% making his monthly salary of over D300,000. All these increments reflected on taxes as the GRA is forced and task to collect over D12 billion from D9 billions in 2019 and from D13 billion 2020, to now over D14 billions in 2022 these are the major factors that caused the ongoing hardship in the Gambia which directly affected the citzens and created serious hardship on the lives & livelihoods of Gambians.
In 2020 the Barrow Gov't's greed in taxe increment affected major companies like banjul bruwies which resulted to the closure of the factory and subsequently left hundreds of its employees now jobless and thousands are indirectly affected, not only that but many other companies and businesses are now closing in the Gambia to move to Senegal, which is caused by the inefficiency of the Gambia ports and the high taxes involved.

It should be clear to all Gambians that Barrow does not care about the current hardship citzens are going through, and how much the Foreign services alone consumes from our country's treasury, rather he only cares on satisfying and pleasing his closed political associates.

Remember the same Barrow Gov't that failed to address the economic hardships and unemployment challenges the country is face with, which according them is due to global economic crisis, but again overloading our foreign service with their unwanted cronies who are rejected by citzens due to their unethical, lack of integrity and unpatriotic attitudes they manifested during their tenure in public service.

Yet, we are all sitting and watching Barrow and his active economic cartels blame the Russia–Ukraine war for their failures to create employments for our youths, address the daily hiking in commodity prizes, while they continue to increased Gov't's expenditure to please their unwanted political partners at the expenses of poor Gambian taxpayers in the current economic environment.

Unti we are ready to take ownership of our country, the culture of personalizing public resources and our national treasury will continue to be a personal account of the president.

THE STATE VS BUBACARRR KEITA The Judge entered the courtroom at 14:36. The clerk announced the case as state vs Bubacarr Bob Keita. The judge then warned the audience to maintain silence and no noise. The State prosecutor Kimbeng K. Tah took the floor and announced himself for the state along with Alsanna Jobe and Patrick Gomez. Lamin LS Camara also took the floor and introduced himself alongside F. Jallow for the accused person. He was then asked by the Judge to move his motion. In moving the motion, Lamin S. Camara, Counsel for Bubacarr Keita alias “Bob” informed the court that the defence team is ready to proceed with the motion dated 18th July, 2022, subject to the direction of the court. According to Counsel Camara, one of the requests stated in the motion is for the ruling of the Bundung High Court on the 7th July, 2022 to be set aside; adding that they also want a stay of execution of the said ruling pending the hearing and determination of the appeal filed at the Gambia Court of Appeal. “My lord there is a motion before this court, dated on the 18th of July, 2022 and returned on the same day. The said motion is seeking for four prayers and under prayer 1 and 2 are in the alternative to prayer 3 and 4,” said Counsel. My Lord the motion are almost the same, 1 and 3 and 2 and 4 vice vie, he added. Lawyer Camara further submitted that the motion is supported by 45 paragraphs Affidavit, sworn by Babucarr Keita, the accused person. “We are relying on all the paragraphs contained herein, particularly paragraphs 4-45. My lord attached to this application, are two exhibits BK1, which is the ruling of this honourable court of Thursday, 7th July, 2022, which is sought to be set aside and or stay. There is also attached to this Affidavit my lord Exhibit BK2 which is a notice of appeal to the Gambia Court of Appeal against the decision of this honourable court which is Exhibit BK1.
