Davido's son is said to be alive but in coma

Two things spread like wild fire in Nigeria. One is fake news and the other is bad news.

Nigerians are quick to spread unverified news and they have jumbo appetite for spreading bad news too.

You may have stumbled upon a video making rounds on social media about Davido's son, Ifeanyi being alive.

That video is Jeremiah Gracen TK2D Warrior, a toddler living with a rare mitochondrial disease called TK2d.

The video was taken from his page to chase clout and misinform the public.

While we wish, with all honesty, that the little boy is alive or comes back alive. It is inappropriate to spread fake news with a deliberate aim to misinform the public and generate traffic to your profile, page or blog.

If you know what little Jeremiah has gone through, he would be the last person to use his videos for clout chasing.

Alot of people are said to belive the death of Davido's son because the news came from the Nanny who many people trusted as a reliable source.

UPDATE ON DAVIDO’S SON, IFEANYI'S PAINFUL D£ATH

According to a source close to the heartbreaking incident, the Nanny was with Ifeanyi and the Chef came to join them. The Nanny was said to have moved slightly away to receive a call. When she returned, she couldn’t find Ifeanyi and assumed he was with the Chef but the Chef said he had left Ifeanyi with her. They began to frantically look for Ifeanyi all over the house for close to 20 mins until a security guard spotted him in the pool.

No one could explain how the boy got in the pool.

Davido and Chioma were said to have returned from their trip to the devastating news.

"Davido ran mad. He literally tore his clothes and wanted to run into the streets. He was held back. He and Chioma are inconsolable."

The boy's body has since been taken to the mortuary and there are indications that an autopsy will be done to determine the cause of death.

Friends, staff and colleagues of the singer have been banned from visiting Davido at his father's house where he and Chioma are holed up.

Kumba Sinyan’s Murder Trial Fail to Proceed

Kumba Sinyan’s murder trial failed to proceed as the State has not yet filed a bill of indictment against her.

Counsel Abdul Aziz Saho announced his appearance for the State, but Sinyan has not yet secured the service of a Lawyer.

Lawyer Saho sought adjournment with the excuse that the matter was transferred from the police adding the State has not received the police file yet. He submitted that the adjournment will enable them to engage the police prosecution.

The presiding judge, Justice Sidi A. Jobarteh grant the application adding that the matter is a transferred case and a bill of indictment is not filled before the Court.

The Judge asked Sinyan whether she can provide herself with a lawyer or if she will need the assistance of the State. Sinyan said her family is working towards providing her with a lawyer. The matter is adjourned to Tuesday 01st November 2022 for further mention of the case at 12:30.

18 - Year - Old Boy Sets Friend On Fire For Allegedly Dating Brother's Wife

18-year-old Sulayman Ceesay, of Sami, in the lower Niumi District, North Bank Region (NBR), has been left with third-degree burns on his back and other parts of his body after his friend Lamin Bob allegedly set him on fire on allegation of having an affair with his elder brothers wife.

Sulayman Cssay is currently hospitalized at the Essau District Hospital after suffering horrific burns in what his friends say was the result of an allegation of dating his (Lamin Bob's), elder brother's wife.

According to an eyewitness Lamin Bob allegedly set Sulayman Ceesay, on fire based on jealousy and the allegation that Sulayman was dating his elder brother's wife.

"The incident occurred at Essau Senior Secondary School (ESSS), on Wednesday 19th October. Lamin found Sulayman Ceesay sitting on the school fence with his shirt off taking fresh air. It was this time when Lamin Bob, come from behind to pour fuel on Sulayman's back and lite him up;" said an eyewitness.

The story is gathered from Ousman A Marong from Niumi FM.

Upon receiving the news this medium Kexx News contacted the police PRO whether they are aware of the incident. The PRO confirmed the incident that Sulayman was allegedly burnt but was quick to state they are yet to establish the facts of what led to the incident.

When asked whether there has been an arrest to that effect. She confirms that the suspect is in custody helping the police.

PRESS RELEASE

The management of Gambia Ports Authority (GPA) wishes to inform the port community, all relevant stakeholders, and the general public that with effect from 1st November 2022, the administration and management of dockworkers in GPA will be transferred to a new company, Dock Labour Company Gambia Limited (DLCG).

This is in furtherance of the severance arrangements negotiated with GPA through collective bargaining agreement with the dockworkers labour union. Accordingly, severance packages have been fully paid to all dockworkers.

We wish to assure all and sundry that the transfer of dockworkers to DLCG will not affect work at GPA. Furthermore, and where need be, a few more energetic, capable, and willing young Gambians will be recruited and added to the workforce.

The port community, all relevant stakeholders, and the general public are therefore expected to cooperate with DLCG in the discharge of their responsibilities.

POLICE ARREST A NIGERIAN WOMAN FOR ALLEGED INVOLVEMENT IN HUMAN TRAFFICKING

A systematic investigation process, led by Police Detectives, has tracked down a fifty-two-year-old Nigerian woman who is allegedly notorious for trafficking her fellow nationals in The Gambia on the pretext of offering them lucrative jobs.

Further investigation into this incident has revealed that the accused Nigerian woman compels her victims into s*x work to be able to pay a sum of D250, 000 as travel expenses of her victims.

PUBLIC NOTICE FOR RECUITMENT INTO THE GAMBIA ARMED FORCES

1. The Gambia Armed Forces (GAF) informs the general public of an intended selection process for possible recruitment of Gambians into the Gambia Armed Forces. Prospective applicants should strongly consider the following stipulated requirements earmarked for soldiers or rating and Officer Cadets respectively. Potential soldiers or ratings wishing to apply therefore must tender at least an authentic Grade (9) GABECE Statement of result or equivalent with at least two (2) credits and three (3) passes, or an authentic Grade 12 WASSCE Statement of results or its equivalent with at least Four (4) passes. In a similar vein, prospective candidates for Officer Cadet consideration must tender at least an authentic Grade 12 WASSCE Statement of result or its equivalent with at least 6 credits including English and Mathematics. Above all, prospective candidates must be bonafide Gambian by birth.
2. Furthermore, candidates shall be subjected to rigorous vetting and successful applicants would be subjected to a Basic Fitness Test (BFT). The Recruitment Board's dates of activities for vetting/selections at various locations will be communicated through GAF's facebook platform on "gambiaarmedforces" and via local community radios. Candidates who have successfully passed through the selection process would be able to read their names publishable on the notice boards of various selection centers. Subsequently, Basic Military Training at the GAF Training School for a prescribed period will be initiated. In this regard, prospective candidates must meet the following additional conditions:
a.
All potential 'applicants must be Gambian by birth.
b.
Candidates must be between the ages of 18 and 25 years.
C.
Must possess a minimum education of grade 12 School Leaving
Certificate with at least 6 credits including English and Mathematics for Officer Cadets.
d.
Must possess a minimum education of grade 12 School Leaving Certificate with at least 4 passes for other ranks / Grade 9 School
Leaving Certificate (GABECE) with 2 credits and 3 passes.
e.
A potential recruit must be certified medically and physically fit by a competent medical practitioner.
f.
Male recruits should be at least 1.65 meters in height weigh at least 60Kg while female recruits should be at least 1.63 meters and weigh at least 55Kg.
9. Candidates must not have been convicted by any court of law.

h.
Candidates must be prepared to undergo Basic Military Training.
3. Candidates must be recommended by at least two recognized referees who must attest to the applicant's character and integrity. Interested candidates can purchase non- transferable application forms at a non-refundable cost of D200. 00 from the following locations:
a.
Defence Headquarters, Gambia Armed Forces, 3 Marina Parade, Banjul.
b.
Gambia Navy, Naval Fleet, Half Die, Banjul.

POLICE ARREST NINE SUSPECTS FOR ALLEGED ROBBERY AND THEFT.

Following numerous reports of incessant robberies and theft cases at Dalaba Estate, the Bravo company of the Police Intervention Unit led by Sgt 3833 Camara and re-enforced by SI Yarbo has today, 18th October 2022, raided the said estate leading to the arrest of nine young Nigerian nationals and one Gambian lady, all of whom are between the ages of 18 to 30.

Preliminary investigation led to a massive recovery of different items which includes cases of clothes and shoes, laptops, a generator, bags, mobile phones, cutlasses, and other valuables.

As investigations into this incident progress, the General public is once again reassured of our commitment to ensuring the lives and prosperities of all Gambian and residents of The Gambia are protected at all times.

AWA GAMBIA BIOLOGICAL FATHER FEELS REJECTED .

Alhagie Omar Jonga is the biological father of the rising artists Awa Gambie. He was always there for his daughter and did everything as a responsible father to see the success of his daughter.

According to him He sponsored and guided her music career until she achieved success he said .
Guess what, when success, fame and money started coming her way, the rising started snub her father who was there for her from day one. Awa Gambie just thought that the only reward for his father is to throw him in the dustbin and cut him from her success. It is believed that the young artists now decided to let her mother and family enjoy her success at the detriment of her biological father who did everything for her.

The emotional and lonely father wrote on his Facebook today "Am I forgotten? So soon...Am wishing you all the best, keep shining and growing. You are my flesh and blood. I'll always pray for as usual. Ndeysan the cry of a lovely father that is still praying for the success of her lovely daughter.

In another emotional Facebook post reminder, the father of Awa Gambie emotionally wrote " I was a lovely father then for 19 years but today am not. I am just ignored and forgotten.

I heard some one was bullying you saying that you are ugly .. She just doesn't know you ..You are the most beautiful gift God has given me ..My First Born .

May Allah Guard you through .. I heard you have Beautiful Gifts From a very grateful lady ..May Allah reward her Abundantly , you Deserve it ..I have not seen it but am praying for you to enjoy driving it in peace.

The million dalasi question is why is Awa Gambie ignoring her father? Did fame and money carry her away to an extent she forgot her father who claims he was the only one there for good 19 years. Awa Gambie should think that nothing lasts forever.

Editors note. The community leaders, religious leaders and youth leaders should immediately reach out to Awa Gambie and reconcile her with the father.
Awa should know to succeed in life she needs both parents blessings and prayers .
We also think the dad shouldn't bring this issue public at this crucial time of his daughter's.

Why would the father put this on social media? Is't bothering him that much ?
