Foni's captain Famara Jarju reacted after his Foni side played a 2-2 draw against Brufut in the West Coast 4th Edition final played at the Brikama Boxba Mini Stadium.

WEST COAST REGION ZONALS 4TH EDITION FINAL: FONI AND BRUFUT TO MEET FOR REPLAY

The late Kebba Bojang West Coast Region Zonals 4th Edition Final played between Brufut and Foni ended in a 2-2 draw and the final is set for a replay on February 18th 2025.

Omar Jarju fired Brufut ahead in the 7th minute before Modou Lamin Colley levelled matters in the 16th minute of the first stanza.

In the 28th minute,Brufut regained their lead through technical Ismaila Sonko in the 28th minute before the Champions, Foni restored parity courtesy of their captain per excellent Famara Jarju in the 72nd minute after his well taken half-volley hit the roof of the net to sent Foni fans to a wild celebration.

After 2-2 in regulation time, the match failed to produced a winner and the party for either side is in suspense till on the 18th February when they will rub shoulders again for the replay at the Brikama Boxba Mini 🏟️.

Public notice

The match coordinating meeting formerly called Technical Meeting was held at the football house on Friday morning (27.12.2024) for the smooth running of the final. It was agreed that the arrival time for both teams shall be 3pm and the rest for the match preparation until the official kickoff.

A one minute silence shall be observed to consolidate in memory the late Kebba Bojang. The players and match day officials of the two teams shall use the democracy gate for entrance. The filling of the match form, inspection, team talk, warm-up, lineup and kickoff shall start from 3pm onwards.

As the rules and regulations indicate, in case of a tie in the first match of the final, there shall be a replay.

In case of a winner, there shall be a parade and guard of honour for both teams which must be attended.

A reminder that the winner is D100,000.00 while the runner-up is D80,000.00

🇬🇲 Edrisa Ceesay has terminated his contract with Serbian top-tier club, FK Jedinstvo Ub, on a mutual consent, his agent confirmed.

The young Scorpions centre-back joined the Nemanja Matic-owned club on a three-year contract in July 2024 and has since managed 4 starts in 6 appearances.
