Day 6 of the Gibraltar Literary Festival was full of incredible insights and captivating conversations!
The festival continued with an exciting lineup of local and international authors, beginning with Sarah Burton and Jem Posterโs morning workshop on short story writing, based on their book The Book You Need to Read to Write the Book You Want to Write.Guillem Balaguรฉ shared behind-the-scenes stories from his updated biographies of football legends Messi and Ronaldo, while at City Hall, Paterson Joseph gave a brilliant talk on The Secret Diaries of Charles Ignatius Sancho.
We also had a thought-provoking panel discussion about Llanito, Gibraltarโs unique language, featuring experts like Dr. Ryan Asquez, Dr. Laura Wright, Dr. Jonathan Teuma, and more.Paul Pettitt guided us through Neanderthal behavior and the origins of art, and Marlene Watson and Bill Tara shared their passion for plant-based living over an exclusive 3-course vegan meal experience.
The afternoon sessions at the historic Garrison Library were equally inspiring. Manni and Reuben Coe moved the audience with their heartfelt discussion of Brother, Do You Love Me?, exploring themes of love and brotherhood.
Bryony Gordon opened up about her mental health journey in Mad Woman, using humor and honesty to help others feel seen.
