A section of some youth, elders and women in Wa are seeking justice on the alleged murder of a son of the community by a patrol of police in town identified as “Anti robbery Unit”.
This unit of the Ghana Police Service that are usually not dressed in the known police uniform are rumoured by many to be sanctioned from national headquarters of the police.
The group in their request for justice made a call on the regional minister and revealed in an interview that, the minister pledged to help ensure justice is served whiles he calls for calm.
Before this incidence many of the youth in town have shared worries and concerns on their brutal and radical approach against the very people they are supposed to ensure their safety.

The Honourable member of parliament of Jirapa constituency, Hon. Cletus Seidu DapIlah at official launch of Jirapa Radio was the first to speak to the people of the Jirapa municipality. Present was the Upper west regional minister Dr. Bin Salih Hafiz and the Regent of the Jirapa traditional council.

Today in the Jirapa municipality, a new radio station by name ‘Jirapa Fm 96.1’, an initiative of Jirapa municipal chief executive was launched to help in development agenda of the municipality.
The upper west regional minister, Dr. Bin Salih Hafiz,the Member of Parliament of Jirap constituency,Hon. Cletus Seidu DapIlah, the DCE, the regent of the Jirapa traditional council, the DCE, the NPP and NDC constituency chairmen and many other residents of Jirapa were present to witness the launch of this radio station.
The Mp in his brief speech lauded the peaceful coexistence that is in the political environment of Jirapa and encouraged that it be continued. The regional minister as well applauded that unity and added that we are one people with just different identities. He cautioned that the radio station should not be used on political lines but should serve the interest of all in the constituency. Only then can it serve its intended purpose of development.
The chief Imam in his pray added a beige speech sharing his joy of the unity preach from all key players of the region and municipality and prayed that the radio station benefits all.

Leadership of HITYM MEDIA and few other members of the group were at the studios of WaalaTv in the early hours of today the 2nd of march. The group is a media group with leadership from Japan that is also into philanthropic works. They were in Wa town on Monday the 1st of march and made visits to the WaNaa palace, the municipal hospital, the disable association office and to Bahass foundation to interact to understand the needs and challenges of these various groups of people so they can assist.
From my immediate right is Hayford of Tv3 DateRush. Next to him is Suzuki from Japan and next is the leader of HITYM.
They have a dream of business that will give back to society. May it be a success.
WaalaTv shall be working with this group hopefully to help the needy and to help build talents like musicians in our town.

HITYM MEDIA made a visit to Bahass Foundation to engage them and understand the needs and challenges of the foundation so they can in their bit extend help where they can and plan towards helping the noble foundation.
Baba Waala elucidates to the group why it’s necessary that HITYM makes it a priority to help Mr Bahass and his foundation referencing on ritual killings that made these mentally re****ed patients more the victims due to lack of mental homes which the Bahass foundation is embarking on to build.
They were like us, we can be like them.

In the early hours of today, a group called HITYM MEDIA made of people residing in Japan, USA and parts of Ghana were at the Wanaa Palace led by Baba Waala and Fahad Sessey Zakaria to seek the permission of entry into the Waala Kingdom and also to seek blessings from the Wanaa and the elders on an intended philanthropic project they are to carry in town by request of a son of our community, Dr Fahad Zakaria based in USA and a part of the group and also a daughter of us, Arahiat, also a part of the group but based in Japan but couldn’t be part of the entourage.
Baba Waala on behalf of the group unveiled the intent to the elders which is in line with helping the disable, the needy on health needs, the mentally re****ed and others.
The elders welcomed them, gave them their blessings and assured them of their support and encouraged them to do more of such because government alone can not help fix all our challenges.

Following the demise of the late YagbonWura - YagbonWura Tuntunba Bore- Essa whose demise happened days ago,the Waala Traditional Council sent a delegation of Chiefs to join in the 7days Adua at the YagbonWura palace.
As part of the delegation was :
Tendaanba, Pognamin3,Yarihi,Kundugu-kuoro,Sing - Naa,Satigu-Naa,Dobile - Naa ,G)) Naa,Naahaa Naa,Tanina Naa,JeyiriNaa,Sagbesi Naa,Tiisaa Naa and other revered chiefs and representatives.
There was also a delegation of gun shooters from Manwe Naa,Naahaa Naa,Tanina Naa, Mantina and Charia Naa.
A delegation of Wa Liman and Yarinaa was present. The Waala Traditional council therefore was fully represented by noble men.
May the late chief journey well.

The Tendaanba ( Landlords of Waala traditional area ) today did a press conference to speak to the ritual killings in town. In their Press the spokesperson they have been on this for the past two weeks. He said it’s wrong for anyone to think the man caught in line with the act is a mad man. Infact their traditional findings spotted him as one of the killers. They said traces to their abode also proved him a part. He said human parts like eye 👁 tongue 👅 and others parts were found. He promised they are still on and shall by his grace ensure all involved are caught. He said but for the slight destruction of police they could get more than 1 person.
