Accra Fashion Week 2023 witnessed a captivating debut by Odefille, an urban C-Suite womenâs fashion brand that redefined elegance with its unique blend of tradition and innovation. Led by the soulful melodies of the legendary Paulina Oduro, models strutted down the runway in outfits that pushed boundaries and left onlookers mesmerized.

Following Sarah Burtonâs recent departure from Alexander McQueen after 26 years, fans and fashion onlookers across the globe are patiently waiting to see what direction the British house heads in. As has been previously announced, SeĂĄn McGirr is taking the reins as Alexander McQueenâs new creative director. But until McGirr presents his debut collection, Alexander McQueen has revealed its new menswear Pre-Spring/Summer 2024 collection.
Once again, the fashion houseâs craft centers on a vision of tailoring for its menswear. Although it remains a brand signature for the Alexander McQueen man, the British house continues to elevate its view season after season. This time around, the offering focuses on cut and proportion â illustrating that the devil always lies in the details.
Suiting takes form in streamlined double-breasted and single-breasted constructions. Bringing character to the classic tailoring are embroidered embellishments, faded artistic prints, jeweled dragonfly details and simply precisely cut silhouettes.

converted a Brooklyn warehouse into a mud-filled swamp to appropriately showcase her Spring/Summer 2024 collection that looks to permeate societyâs saturated view on womanhood. Donning an array of neutral-toned textured, layered pieces, Velezâs âantiheroesâ made their way down the muddy runway looking to impress no one.
âThe universe I strive to create through this brand has always been one which reinforces a creative space to have complex, dualistic, and paradoxical conversations about womanhood,â Velez conveys in a statement. âIt feels to me like the sanitization and unilateralization of womanhood in popular culture today leaves no room for the nuance and multiplicity we deserve as architects of labyrinthine interior lives.â
This is exactly what Velez taps into in her latest collection; being a woman isnât always pretty â in fact, itâs usually very much not. With this authenticity at the forefront, Velez curates a cohesive array of pieces that imbue the chaos and complexity of womanhood and motherhood as well. The collectionâs pieces were crafted from an array of materials. In addition to traditional fabrics spanning linen, cotton, denim and silicone latex, more non-conventional mediums were at play as well, including animal hairs, pelts and debris.
Kylie Jenner â and her clone â are getting down and dirty in Acne Studiosâ FW23 Denim Campaign. Across a slew of alluring photos shot by Carlijn Jacobs, the fashion icon rocks muddy body paint, wet hair and the Swedish luxury labelâs new delivery of distressed denim styles for Fall/Winter 2023.
Denim is the foundation of Acne Studios â what the labelâs Creative Director Jonny Johansson calls âan endlessly important material that [he] loves to reinvent every season.â And for this seasonâs reinvention, Johansson leaned into simplicity and the beauty of wear and tear. The captivating and cohesive campaign shows Jenner in a rare stripped-back setting, seeing her don the collection effortlessly. She pairs a new jacket silhouette â the ultra-oversized, unisex â2023â jacket â with the timeless â2021â mid-rise, wide-leg jeans. Jenner also sports the collectionâs new accessories, flexing the new distressed leather Multi-Pocket bag and seasonal eyewear.
Jacobsâ goal with the direction of the campaign was to tap into Jennerâs self-assurance and self-love, thus catalyzing the two Kylies concept. âThe campaign sought to showcase Kylie as a woman who is in control, has a love for herself, and is unafraid to embrace her desires. I aimed to celebrate her individuality by doubling her. She loves herself and is not afraid to show it,â Jacobs explains in a statement from Acne Studios.
âThis campaign is one of my favorites. I loved working with Carlijn and I love the simplicity of the images, they have strength in their directness,â says Kylie Jenner in the statement.
