MESSAGE TOPIC: THE NECESSITY OF VISION (1-3)

SERVICE OBJECTIVE(S): Understanding why it is necessary to live with vision

There is a connection between vision and destiny; to follow the way of vision is to end in the way of destiny.
People of great destinies in Scriptures were people of great vision
Life can be at risk without vision (Prov. 29:18)
Both the quality and durability of life are anchored on vision (Prov. 29:18)
Men of old fulfilled the quality and durability of life by vision

THE NECESSITY OF VISION:
1. Vision brings reason and meaning to living (Jer. 1:5; Prov. 23:7)
Vision delivers people from the tragedy of living life by chance, of living by random motion
Life is meaningful and reasonable by vision
Vision raises the quality of a man’s life
The absence of vision is the reduction of life’s quality
The absence of vision is behind low self-esteem
When people have no vision for life, they begin to think of dying.
It doesn’t matter what you are passing through now, life is more than worth it!
Where you are now is not as important as where you are facing; if you can see there, you must leave here and get there!
It doesn’t matter what the devil is saying you don’t have, you have too much to impact your generation.

2. Vision brings wisdom and discretion to life (Matt. 6:22-23; Dan. 5:11; Eccl. 2:14)
The place of vision is the place of wisdom and discretion
When you know what you want out of life, the mind opens up on how to get at it.
The mind of man works like a parachute; it works best when you see far.
When you know what you want out of life, and what God wants you to do with your life, He
will supply you inspiration on how to get at it
When you know what you want, God supplies you the light on how to get it done.
When you know where you are going, you will find how to get there.
When you don’t know where you are going, it is impossible to find out how to get there.

3. Vision brings drive and momentum to life (Hab. 2:2; 1Cor. 9:24; 1Sam. 17:48)
People of vision are people of action and motion
Vision enables motion and cures stagnation

4. Vision births hope and expectancy in life (Matt. 6:22-23; Job 14:14; Jer. 29:11; Eccl. 9:4)
Vision gives you something to live for and look forward to
Vision brings light and sunshine to the soul and life of man
Visionlessness is the twin of hopelessness so the peak of visionlessness is the peak of hopelessness
As long as there is vision there is hope and as long as there is hope there is life (Eccl. 9:4)
For as long as you have not seen Jesus face to face yet, there is one more step to take, move to make or impact to make!

5. Vision brings discipline and character to life (Prov. 29:18; 1Cor. 9:24-27; Prov. 23:7)
Vision disciplines actions and disciples character
Every time you have a vision that is worth it, it places a price; there is no prize without a price.
Where nothing is in view, anything and everything is allowed; where nothing is at stake, caution is not an issue.
What you want to get out of life is a determinant of the price you are willing to pay
Where there is no price, there can be no rise.
The greatness of a man is determined by the purpose for which he lives and the willingness to pay for it – Charles Blair
You can see anything you want out of life if you are willing to pay the price but I would be lying to you if I said the price was cheap. So what do you really want out of life? – Kathryn Kuhlman

6. Vision imparts persistence and determination to life (Heb. 12:2; Job 14:14)
Those who perceive the ultimate can surmount the immediate

7. Vision births faith and confidence in life (Heb. 11:24-27; Hab. 2:1, 4)
Those who see the invisible believe the incredible and will do the impossible
When it is real in your heart it will become real in your life

8. Vision affects life’s decisions or choices (Amos 3:3; Prov. 13:20; Acts 18:1-3)
Vision shapes decisions and directs our choices
Vision is the initiator of decisions, that is why, visionless people are indecisive people
Wrong decisions are unavoidable when vision is absent
Anybody not going in your direction is not qualified for your association; friendship is not for fun but for fire and for the future
Where you want to end in life is the determinant of the road you choose to follow

9. Vision brings transformation and increases capacity (2Cor. 3:18; Gen. 30:37)
Vision changes the visioneer and enlarges capacity
You begin to look like what you look at
Don’t feel discouraged if what you are looking at does not happen initially, it must happen eventually.

COUNSEL:
1. Ensure that you don’t live or exist with an empty heart because that will lead to an empty life (Eccl. 1:1; Prov. 4:23)
2. Connect with God for continuous inspiration and vision (Ps. 37:4)
Vision is most authentic and it is guaranteed fulfilment when it originates from God
God will give you the desires of your heart means two things – He will give you what you desire
and He will give you what to desire (Ps. 37:4)

PRAYER
Father, thank You for Your Word to us today. To You be all the glory Lord in Jesus’ Name.

PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS:
- Every spell of meaningless living and inferior existence, today that yoke is finally broken!
- After this service, those who had known you will find it hard to recognise you again
- Everyone whose life’s quality has been low, right now an upgrade is happening
- Divine direction, wisdom and discretion is coming; receive it now!
- Jehovah will do something new in your life like you have never seen before
- Your destiny is opening up right now!
- You are not permitted to die before your time
- I curse suicidal tendencies, the spirits of depression, despair and despondency! Life is worth the living!
- Every devil telling you that you don’t have a hope or a future is a lying bastard devil!
- I am here to tell you that the best of your days are still ahead of you and the worst of your days are behind you!
- Your change is coming and you shall wait!
- I prophesy upon you staying power
- I prophesy upon you today, the grace to keep on now!
- God is dealing with the spell of rejection
- Today, by the power of vision, every trace of doubt in your life dies!
- Every wrong choice plaguing your life and destiny, the grace to be released from them is released upon you

HOW KENNETH HAGIN IMPARTED PASTOR ADEBOYE IN 1979!!!
(Critical Lesson In Generational Transfer)

In 1979, Pastor E. A. Adeboye attended Kenneth Hagin's Camp Meeting in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in the company of some other folks. The Camp Meeting was massive. There were raw miracles and the atmosphere was really electrifying. https://youtu.be/3ANc1jzLiNs

The meeting made an extremely strong impression of Pastor Adeboye's heart such that he decided to book an appointment with the setman of the ministry, in the person of Rev. Kenneth E. Hagin.

Then three other folks decided to follow him to see Dad Hagin in his office. On getting to the office, Rev. Hagin welcomed them very warmly and asked each of them the same question.

To the first person he asked, "Young man, what do you want from me?". He responded, "Sir, I want to distribute your books in Nigeria".

To the second person he asked, "Young man, what do you want from me?". He responded, "Sir, I want to distribute your tapes in Nigeria".

To the third person he asked, "Young man, what do you want from me?". He responded, "Sir, I want to distribute your magazines in Nigeria".

Then he turned to Pastor Adeboye, the man who booked the appointment himself and asked, "Young man, what do you want from me? ". He said, "Sir, everything that you carry, I want it. Everything in you that made you to be you, I want it".

Mehn!!! Dad Hagin adjusted his chair and gasped a bit. Then he called his secretary and directed the secretary to attend to the first three men.

He told the secretary, "This one wants books, give him books. This one wants tapes, give him tapes. And this one wants magazines, give him magazines" and the three men left the office with the secretary, then it remained only Rev. Kenneth Hagin and Pastor Adeboye.

History was about to be made. There was to be a transfer of the anointing that would later change the dynamics. Dad Hagin asked Pastor Adeboye to kneel down and he laid his two hands on him and prayed furiously (in Pastor Adeboye's words).

Pastor Adeboye fell under the anointing and according to him, Dad Hagin still knelt beside him with his hands strongly fixed on his head and with heavy sounds of prophetic prayers.

The Power fell. The Glory fell. And when Pastor Adeboye got back to Nigeria, he started seeing with immediate effect the results he saw in Kenneth Hagin's Camp Meeting, and ever since then, it has remained so.

Beloved, the irrefutable fact is that every generation that will do great things in the Kingdom always gets an impartation from the previous generation, and the Bible and Church history are replete with this pattern.

We see this pattern in Moses and Joshua; Elijah and Elisha; Paul and Timothy; George Jeffreys and Reinhard Bonnke; Kathryn Kulhman and Benny Hinn; Smith Wigglesworth and Lester Sumrall; Lester Sumrall and Rod Parsley; Benson Idahosa and David Oyedepo; and so on and so forth.

That is why a generation that rubbishes the anointing of the fathers will become a lost generation. Never forget that in every generation of the move of God, God always gives THE FORMER RAIN and THE LATTER RAIN; THE EARLY RAIN and THE LATTER RAIN - Zech. 10:1, Jam. 5:7.

To the folks who requested for ministry products and materials from Kenneth Hagin, it teaches us that it is unto us according to our desire. Have you ever wondered why Jesus Christ during His early ministry would ask a blind man, "What do you want Me to do for you?".

You could say that Jesus already knew the man was blind and that he needed sight. But Christ would never assume or preempt any man. The blind man might request for money if he saw his condition as a means of economic gain.

So, it is unto you according to your desire. Elijah said to Elisha, "Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee" - 2 Kgs2:9. He said, "Let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me" - 2 Kgs2:9. What do you see in the generation of the fathers? What you see determines what you get. With all the knowledge that we possess in our generation, we still need generational impartation from the fathers, for through it, God Almighty closes generational gap and advances the frontiers of His Kingdom.

May God help our generation to receive every thing that He has prepared for us.

“One day Benson Idahosa’s pastor was preaching a message (called) “All things are possible to all who believe. With God all things are possible.
” At the end of the service he walked to his pastor and asked “Pastor, this thing you are saying, if its true that means its even possible to raise the dead. The pastor said “yes I’ve never done it but if the Bible says it, then its true.” Benson said “okay, am going to look for one. He was either 21 or 22 years. From 11 am till 4:30 pm in the evening Benson took his bicycle with his Bible and went from street to street all over Benin City looking for a dead person. (...)

At 4:30 pm, he stopped for a visit at the home where his friend, Margaret stayed. It was either the 6th or 7th place to stop at. He found the place full of her relatives. There was agitation on every face, and many of the women were crying. (...) Somebody just died.” “It’s my uncle’s baby,” Margaret explained, wiping her tears with the back of her hand. (...) The baby had died at 9 am and it was 4 pm. She had already started changing colour. (...)

Benson turned to the father of the child. “The God I serve can bring your baby back to life,” He asked confidently. “Will you permit me to pray for her?” Startled, the father agreed, though he himself was not a Christian. Benson walked boldly into the next room where the cold, still form of the baby lay on the bed. He ordered everyone out according to Mark 5:40. There was tension and expectation as the relatives waited outside. But as a stubborn, Margaret stood at the door peeping in and out of the room just incase something happens. Idahosa prayed, “Child, be healed.” (...)

Suddenly the startled family heard the baby sneeze. They rushed into the room to find the infant awake and looking completely normal.”

I Decree And Declare

Destruction and death will stay off your territory.
- No one dies young in your lineage anymore.
- You are out of that destiny prison today. Whatever has shut you in, is scattered finally today.
- You have been at the same spot for so long, today a New Chapter opens to your destiny.
- You won’t miss the signal of the new phase of your life.
- As you set your eyes on your children today, begin to see greatness.
In case they are not around, as you open up their picture, begin to proclaim the establishment of their glorious destiny, their prosperous destiny, their enviable destiny.
Look at yourself in the mirror today and say, “I have a prosperous destiny, I have a glorious destiny, I have an enviable destiny.”
- In the name of Jesus, whatever is sitting on that destiny, that God has given you is unseated right now.
- I decree the escape of any of our children that is in the dudgeon of carnality, evil vices Today.
- Grace to take responsibility so that your children don’t become liabilities tomorrow, receive that grace now.
- I decree today no parent here will regret over their children tomorrow.
- Every closed destiny is re-opened.
- Closed marital destiny is opened.
- Closed career destiny is opened.
- Closed destiny of our children is re-opened.
- Whatever door the enemy has shut against you, it is re-opened today.
- Grace to keep loving God, grace to keep serving His interest, receive it in the name of Jesus.
- Grace to be committed to walking in the Spirit so you can catch the signals from Heaven, receive it now in the name of Jesus.
Listen: the Lord sent me to rescue my world from all oppression of the devil.
- Any agent of the devil that stands to resist this declaration that you believe goes down for you today.
- There shall be diverse testimonies of new chapters to your destiny this week.
As the Cell is replicating, God is giving you another house.
Somebody is wishing, “I wish I had a house of my own.” - You will have it now.
Somebody is being threatened by His Landlord, you will emerge a Landlord this year.
As you keep pursuing after God, things will keep opening up to you.
