The laughter of children…feet running around…the splatter of paint…the dance of colours. The maiden edition of the Changemakers Fair was a site to behold. Kids had fun, and adults had even more fun!

The name SDG Changemakers Series was an intentional choice. The idea was to highlight different changemakers, including Grandma Grace in Going Green with Grandma Grace, and Ayiwa in Project Pinkaso. Esther Ocloo, Regina Honu and Chef Elijah Amoo Addo, real-life changemakers we profiled, have changed people’s lives through their causes. Join us on this exciting journey!!!

The World’s To-Do List: The Sustainable Development Goals
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a set of 17 goals created by the United Nations (UN) in September 2015. 193 member states of the UN adopted these Global Goals. The UN has set a target that these goals should be achieved by the year 2030. All the goals are interconnected. In solving one goal, it usually leads to solving another goal. This is why partnerships to achieve these goals are so important.

This Saturday, all roads lead to the Goethe-Institut for the Changemakers Fair, a celebration of the launch of our SDG Changemakers Series. We were so excited about our stories we decided to make a fair out of it!
There will be a plethora of activities, from readings to painting and sustainable activities such as fabric collage. There will also be an Eco-chefs station by Food for All Africa which will include an interactive cooking demonstration and a food recovery workshop. This is a free event.

Eighteen months ago NNF Esquire Limited embarked on an exciting journey to publish varied children’s stories on the Sustainable Development Goals.
For something that is so incredibly important, there is still so little known about the SDGs in Ghana.
Authors Mansa, Fui Can-Tamakloe, and James Dwalu came on board, and let’s just say we’ve been mind-blown at the magic they have woven into each story. From a colouring book introducing all 17 SDGs, an endearing story about Zoozoo, a super kind chicken, a story about Ajuba, a girl who becomes president on her terms, to a tale about a manatee’s adventures, the SDG Changemakers series will entertain and inspire readers.
Join us on this exciting journey as we continue to amplify the voices of change through the power of storytelling.
