*DISCUSSIONS & DECISIONS*

Issues raised by H.E in his address
1. The pandemic has brought massive impact on the economy such as low imports and exports, taxes are low, oil prices have been hit badly from 68$ to 20$ per barrel, airlines and shipping has virtually come to a halt.

2. The impact has brought other problems such as unbudgeted expenses on Government.

3. The poor have become more vulnerable in the face of the restrictions and any further restrictions will be more devastating aside the huge economic challenges being faced now.

4. Over 90% Ghanaians are made up Christians and Muslims and they have also been affected severely because religious activities are almost on a halt

5. The impact on the final year groups in the various levels of Ghana's Education is very disturbing and psychologically painful because these terminal groups wish to move on life but due to these pandemic and restrictions, they are unable to proceed to face their future ( these groups include BECE, WASSCE, Final year Tertiary Students and the like)

6. In our educational set up, is difficult to continue to rely on the various online instructional methods because is difficult to assess the impact or evaluate the students/pupils. The worst of it is that not everyone can be reached electronically with the instructional materials
(School is when Trs and Students have congregated for teaching and learning to take place)

7. Up to today, there is no cure or vaccine although many countries are working hard to get one.

Summary of President's 6th Update on COVID-19

1. Justification of boader closure and the mandatory isolation was successful hence it will remain closed until further notice.
2. About 10,000 contacts traced to be tested in the coming week. This has been successful.
3. 378 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ghana.
4. Restriction of movement has been extended to One More Week subject to review.
5. Electricity Bills for lifeline consumers to be paid fully by Government. For all other categories, govt will pay 50% using March bills as a benchmark. This will be for the next 3 months ie April to June
6. Excesses in the lockdown will be investigated to the later.
7. President thanked all countries, international institutions, local institutions who have donated to the country.
8. Don't organize big gatherings this Easter.

*Summary of President's Address*

1. President thanked all Frontline workers especially Health Workers
2. H.E. thanked also security forces for enforcing the lockdown.
3. Steps are have being taken to investigate the excesses by the security forces.
4. Condemned false videos being circulated.
5. Government is working to achieve its main 5 objectives.
6. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 stands at 214
7. The week ahead is critical. Over 5,000 contacts traced results will be released.
8. We should continue being patient as gov't works to contain the spread of COVID-19.
9. Special thanks to all involved in testing for COVID-19.
10. More than GHS 8m realized from donations.
11. Govt is working with others faith based organization to provide food for about 400,000.
12. Govt to absorb water bills for the next 3-Months.
13. More PPEs, hand Sanitizers etc to be distributed to all district hospitals.
14. More local production of PPEs.
15. All health workers will not pay taxes on emoluments for the next 3 month.
16. 50% basic salary as allowance to all Frontline health workers.
17. Clean up in Greater Accra and Kumasi by the security forces.
18. Ayalolo buses to convey health workers for free
