Hon Speaker Alban Bagbin to resort to a “Division” instead of a “Headcount” was the cause of its decision to stage a walkout of Parliament on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, during the approval of the 2024 Budget Statement and Economic Policy on the Floor of Parliament.

The NDC Minority in Ghana's Parliament says it feels vindicated for standing against the AKER/AGM Oil block deal which the NPP Government nearly paid over $1 billion for.

Deputy Minority Leader and Member of the Mines and Energy Committee, Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah told the Parliamentary Press Corps in a briefing on Wednesday that contrary to a newspaper publication which suggests that the Minority is silent on AGM's decision to pull out of the $1.65 billion transaction with the GNPC, he produced a video recording of the Parliamentary debate on the subject in August 2021, where the NDC warned the Govt about the risky nature of that asset.
