Ghana Smart Schools Project Launched

On Monday 25th March 2024, the President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo launched the Ghana Smart Schools Project (GSSP).

Through the Ghana Smart School Project, which is an extension of the Free Senior High School programme, each student in our Senior High Schools will receive an educational tablet, i.e. One-Student-One-Tablet.

The educational tablets are loaded with teaching and learning resources to make teaching and learning more effective and enjoyable.

This bold initiative seeks to equalize opportunities and bridge the digital divide while equipping our learners with the requisite 21st-century skills.

The Ghana Education Service is grateful to the President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, for his unwavering commitment to education and to all our partners and stakeholders who have contributed to making this initiative a reality.

Electricity Company of Ghana Limited Can you please show respect to Ghanaians by giving us a schedule for power cuts? We need to know beforehand so we can plan. Why do you turn off the electricity without telling us first? It's important to be responsible as a country. I pay for my own electricity before you provide it (prepaid) so it's not fair to have it cut off suddenly without any explanation. Please respect us and give us a schedule for power cuts. A Primary School Teacher using a local language in teaching Mathematics. The school kids seems quite happy with the teaching method, and their interest in learning the subject is very high.

Do we have to encourage this method so our school children can better understand their teachers well and the subject they're taught in class??
