Actress ad socialite Efia Odo has said that the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) do not have handsome men who are intelligent.

According to her, the handsome men in the NPP are substandard whiles the intelligent ones do not make the mark for handsome men.

She made this known while reacting to a video of Sammy Gyamfi making a submission on Television.

A follower could not fathom why she likes Sammy Gyamfi but claims does not support the NDC.

Y”ou will later tell us that you are not affiliated to any party How can you say you don’t like Reggae Dancehall music but you like Stonebwoy en music ? How can you say you don’t like football but you support Chelsea? Lol”

Reacting to this Efia Odo said she can watch and listen to Sammy Gyamfi all day because apart from the fact that the NDC Communications Director is handsome, he is an intelligent man.

“I like some of sista Afias songs but I don’t f**k with her. Does that make sense now? I like how white guys look but I’ll never f**k one, you gerrit now ? Don’t blame Sammy Gyamfi for being handsome and intelligent. NPP lacks handsome intelligent men.”

Broadcaster, Nana Aba Anamoah is “shocked to the bone” after Kofi Kinaata was conspicuously missing from nominees for the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs) Artiste of the Year 2022.

The board on Saturday, March 19, 2022, unveiled the list of nominees for the 23rd edition of the scheme at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre with six musicians earning spots in the Artiste of the Year category.

Reigning Artiste of the Year, Kuami Eugene battles it out with rapper Sarkodie, Lynx Entertainment’s KiDi, gospel musician Joe Mettle, afrobeat artiste King Promise, and ‘Second Sermon’ singer Black Sherif.

The list of nominees has engendered conversation with some questioning why certain musicians did not earn nominations for various categories.

In a Tweet, Nana Aba Anamoah wondered: “Ah wait oo. Kinaata was not nominated for Artiste of the Year?”

Abeiku Santana who is also an ace broadcaster with Accra-based Okay FM could also not fathom why Kofi Kinaata and Fameye were not nominated in the Artiste of the Year category.

In an outburst on his show, Tuesday, Abeiku said: “So Charterhouse and VGMA, in what ways have Kofi Kinaata and Fameye wronged you? Charterhouse, organizers of VGMAs, I’m asking how they have wrong you. What have they done to the extent that they weren’t nominated for the Artiste off the Year category? Keep doing that.

“Keep being selective and unfair to these artistes and continue to nominate your friends and acquaintances. Anytime it is time for these two artistes to be rewarded, they don’t get it. Just look at their works. Look how hard they have worked. Are you being unfair at all? Your reward is in the hands of Shatta Wale,” he fumed.

Singer Kelvyn Brown better known as Kelvynboy has been rearrested for reportedly assaulting his former girlfriend and mother of his two children.

The Afrobeats musician was earlier arrested in February for 'beating up' his ex-girlfriend over a misunderstanding but was released on bail.

According to a report by myjoyonline.com, he reappeared in court on March 18, 2022 where the case was dismissed over the lack of evidence but was later arrested and pressed with new charges.

It would be recalled that the Adentan Circuit Court 2, presided over by Sedinam Awo Balokah on February 22, granted him a GH¢200,000 bail.

Kisa Gbekle has addressed critics who called her out for publicly denying that she has a son whilst on the Delay show. The Ghanaian actress accused the host of manipulation and intruding on her privacy. And so, she was forced to lie to save face.

Kisa Gbekle has done a turnabout to refute her claims that she does not have a child on her YouTube page. She blamed the unfortunate turn of events on Delay for ambushing her at the interview. In the video, Kisa disclosed that she was caught off her guard because she never envisaged that questions about her motherhood would pop up.

“Lately, there are a lot of heavy things on my chest, and I want to clear that up. It is about my lovely son. People that know me, people that know him, know that he’s a very beautiful boy. And yes, I love him so much.

“I know very well that I posted my surgery videos. So I was also thinking that anytime I go for an interview that is what I will talk about. My career (the career that I don’t even perceive anymore), my show, and the procedure I went to do in Turkey. Mainly, that is the thing I was going to talk about. Then I get to the interview, and the next thing I’m being asked is, do you have a child.”

Kisa continued to say that her reaction to the question on the show has been her coping mechanism for unpleasant events. Which is also a civilized response to uncouth intrusive prying people.

“It’s not any big question for me to answer, but I just played around it because I feel my baby should be my business. But I’m the kind of person that is very fun, no matter how offensive the question is. No matter how hard it is, I try to play around with it. I have seen a lot of people have taken this whole thing out of context like Kisa denies her biological son publicly.”

Accordingly, the new mother revealed that she intends to unveil her son on her terma. And she would not succumb to pressure to do otherwise.

“I wasn’t prepared to answer that at that time. Yes, I will come out with my child. I intend to post my pregnancy. But, I don’t want to go sit on someone’s platform. I see it to be kind of an investigative platform. I have my platform. I can decide to come online and post. I will come out with those videos when I want.”

GowaAwards21: Stonebwoy's Wife Dr Louisa Wins Outstanding Woman in Health

Dr Louisa Satekla, the wife of dancehall musician Stonebwoy, has been adjudged Outstanding Woman in Health at the 2021 Gowa Awards, held on Friday, October 1.

The 2021 edition of the Gowa Awards was held at Marriot Hotel in Accra to recognise women and individuals in communities throughout Ghana and Africa devoted to the welfare of humanity through their contributions to society.

Dr Louisa Satekla won the laurel for her contribution towards health in Ghana, leading to her emerging as the Outstanding Woman in Health.

Cinematographer Yaw Skyface disagrees with Shatta Wale’s comment about how much one should invest in music videos.

According to Skyface, Shatta Wale, who is known for shooting substandard videos, should not be the one to evaluate the returns of a good quality video.

During a phone-in session on Simply Showbiz with Mz Gee, Yaw Skyface shared thoughts about Shattat Wale’s infamous comment of the week.

Shatta Wale posted a quote, “Don’t worry yourself shooting videos like you want to compete with Jay Z.”

“If he was shooting standard quality videos and he comes out to say don’t spoil your money. Then what he is talking about is not based on substandard videos. But, he is always shooting substandard videos. We all know that he will never put money on a video. So when he comes out with a statement like this, that means you are enticing people not to invest in their music videos.

“But let’s say you meet a music executive at the airport and you want to show that you are a musician from Ghana, the first place he will go is your youtube to check your work. And I think we should clear that mentality of we to want to promote Ghana, so we have to have people smoking in Labadi, in the bushes. So that is the street. No, that is not the street. It is nothing.”

Yaw Skyface went on to talk about the investments and great strides that music directors have made in a bid to match up the quality of their Nigerian counterparts.

Ghanaians Award-winning Dancehall artiste, Charles Nii Armah Mensah known popularly as Shatta Wale has sent a barrage of stern warning to political party activists creating fake social media posts and attributing them to him.

In the past week, there have been several posts that have been screenshot and sent around as posts from Shatta Wale.

In some of the posts, the Dancehall Artiste is supposedly criticizing John Dramani Mahama for claiming to be the brain behind Free SHS.

But the Dancehall artiste in a short statement on his Twitter page said he is against what political party activists are doing on social media with his name.

He has asked politicians to desist from dragging his name into their political banters and stop spreading the falsehood about him.

Mr Charles Nii Armah said “Stop dragging me into matters of politics when I haven’t said anything. I see prominent people in our country posting photoshop statements about me which is not true. Please stop it cuz I hate it !!!”

Being a boss lady isn’t about belittling and demoralizing others – Delay advises

Deloris Frimpong Manso aka Delay has dished out a piece of advice to her fans on the subject of being a boss lady.

The TV show host cm entrepreneur took to her Instagram page to make a list of things that makes a woman a true boss lady.

According to Delay, being a boss lady isn’t about stepping on other people but it’s about working hard to attain what you want. She added that demoralizing others doesn’t make one a boss lady instead self-empowerment, and helping others is the way to go.

She added that being arrogant and belittling others doesn’t make you a boss lady.

Quamina MP weeps uncontrollably after hearing news of his father's death

A new video which captures the heartbreaking moment Quamina MP wept uncontrollably after learning his father didn’t make it in the fatal accident which almost claimed his life.

Details of what really happened are very scathy as we do not know if there were other people in the car aside him and his father and the situation with the other people in the other cars that collided with theirs.

But this new video is being shared for the first time, and Quamina MP is unable to hold his tears as people tried to console him on the Accra-Akosombo road.

Today, I reminisced about our good old days with a lot of nostalgia and a feeling of “its okay”. How we met was amazing. I kept wondering if you were actually looking for me when we bumped into each other, but you and I know that wasn’t the case. I hesitated a bit, as most ladies do when you proposed to me. You kept asking me to be your lady and I kept pushing you aside until you said, “Start with me and you will never regret you did.” I don’t know how but I found some sort of comfort in those words so I said, “Yes, I would be your girl.” That day when I said yes to you, I thought I had found my Romeo and soon I would be happily married to you.

I remember that day when you took me home just to prove you had no ill intentions towards me. I was super excited and that was the point I started believing in the kind of man you are; decent, considerate and a real gentleman.

Barely two months into our relationship, I got myself a contract that paid well. That could be the luck you brought into my life, I thought. So, I didn’t mind sharing my money with you. You took everything with glee because you weren’t getting enough money from your work as an Uber Driver. I believed in the kind of love we shared. I went the extra mile talking to my contacts who were well placed to get you another job and many other opportunities I tried securing without your knowing it. I wanted to secure the love we had for each other.
