ARTICLE BY LEGENDARY UNCKE EBO WHYTE. ✍🏾✍🏾✍🏾

THINGS YOUR WIFE WISHES TO TELL YOU BUT SHE DOESN'T.

Almost every wife at one time or the other wishes she can say certain things to her husband but she either does not think she can say them or she thinks she will be misunderstood. Consequently, she doesn’t say them. But marriages would be better off if spouses can tell each other some of the things on their minds. If they do, most spouses will be better spouses and most marriages will become better. When these things are not said, they tend to sap the energy and excitement out of the marriage. So in the interest of saving marriages and helping wives get things off their chest in order to help husbands know what is on the minds of their wives, here are some of the things your wife wants to tell you but finding it difficult to.

This may not apply to all women.

1. There is a reason I married you. Do not take that reason away.
The average woman had to make a choice between the man she is married to and another man or other men who were interested in her. And there is always a reason why she chose to marry Mr A over Mr B. If she married you for a particular reason, she did so with the expectation that after marriage, she will get more of it. So, if she married you because you gave her more attention, she expects more attention from you after marriage. If you do not give her that which made her choose you after marriage, you disappoint her and make her disillusioned in her choice in marrying you. As a husband, be interested in knowing why your wife chose you, and try to meet the expectation.

2. Intimacy is more important to me than s*x.
Men usually think s*x is the same as intimacy; women on the other hand make a distinction between intimacy and s*x and they are right to do so. S*x is an expression of intimacy but intimacy is bigger than s*x. S*x is an act; intimacy is a never-ending communication. Without intimacy, s*x is empty. With intimacy, nothing beats s*x. So, if you are a man, learn about intimacy and to enable you to satisfy the emotional needs of your wife.

3. Don’t bring your work home. When a man comes home, his wife expects him to give her his fullest attention. If the first thing he does is to pull out his laptop and continue working she feels rejected. If for some reason you bring work home, make time to chat with your wife and give her as much attention as she needs. That will make her feel that she is important to you. She will then be understanding enough to give you space to attend to the work.

4. Stop trying to catch me cheating on you, because if I am, you will never know. Many wives endure the constant suspicion and accusation that they are cheating on their husbands. The men monitor their movements and phone calls and messages and they find this behaviour laughable. If a woman is really cheating on her husband and she does not want him to know, it will be very difficult for him to know. A man should just trust his wife and believe the best of her.

5. Pay more attention to the children. Most wives complain that their husbands don’t pay any attention to the children an that is not good enough. They don’t play with them; they don’t talk with them; they don’t spend time with them. Fathers should never underestimate how much their children yearn for their company.

6. I love your mother but I hate it when you make me feel that she is more important to you than she is to me. It is true that we all owe so much to our mothers but once you marry, the order of importance changes. That is the way of life. Your mother can be number one till you marry but once you marry, she cannot be number one. I know this is a hard one but it is the way it should be. The bible actually goes further to ask a man to leave his father and mother for his wife.

NANA B CALLS FOR MENSAH THOMPSON'S ARREST.
In a write up the youth organizer and aspiring national organizer of NPP Nana B, said Menash Thompson must be arrested for misinforming the public and telling lies.
He said ;
THOMPSON OF ASEPA MUST BE ARRESTED IMMEDIATELY, FAKE NEWS IS PUNISHABLE UNDER GHANAIAN LAW.

It does appear that Mr. Thompson from ASEPA has the penchant of spewing outright lies and false allegations ostensibly to incite the public and endanger lives. He persists in doing that brazenly, because he always get away with it regardless of the magnitude of such evil lies he peddle.

On this current issue, he must be subjected to the full rigors of the law to deter him from hiding behind social media to create confusion in the system. We can't look on for him to always peddle brazen and wicked falsehood and later turn around to say "I am sorry, I apologise for peddling falsehood". There are laws in this country and he must face it squarely. He must be arrested immediately.

Section 76, Electronic Communications Act, 2008 (Act 775):

(1) A person who by means of electronic communications service, knowingly sends a communication which is false or misleading and likely to prejudice the efficiency of life saving service or to endanger the safety of any person, … commits an offence and is liable on summary; conviction to a fine of not more than [thirty six thousand Ghana Cedis] or to a term of imprisonment of not more than five years or both.

(2) A person is taken to know that a communication is false or misleading if that person did not take reasonable steps to find out whether the communication was false, misleading, reckless or fraudulent.

Hon.Okudzeto On Prez. Nana.

The conversation about the procurement of new aircraft that was communicated by the by the head of communications at the the presidency Mr. Eugene. Arhin. Leading to that the law maker of north tongu Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa.

He basically said the country has many problems and it needs attention as well and demands accountability what has been done so far.

He Writes✍️✍️↓↓↓

" President Akufo-Addo has initiated steps to purchase a new bigger presidential jet, that is according to his spokesperson.

It appears abandoning Ghana’s presidential jet for obscene luxury charters was to lay the foundation for this big announcement.

The Akufo-Addo Administration has so far failed woefully to convince objective Ghanaians that the Falcon isn’t fit for purpose. Even the Liberian President disagrees with them.

The Kufuor-led government informed parliament on the 19th of March, 2008 during the approval processes leading to the purchase of the Falcon (Ghana’s fourth presidential jet) that the lifespan of our presidential jet is for at least 20 years from the date of delivery being October 2010.

Ghana’s current presidential jet is therefore barely 11 years old. The Namibian’s who use a similar presidential aircraft, albeit an older model— a Falcon 900B continue to use theirs after 30 years. (The Namibians purchased their Falcon in 1991).

I am also not falling for the size propaganda. When President Akufo-Addo opted to charter ultra luxury aircrafts, size was not on his mind. The Airbus ACJ320neo which he leased in May is a 17-seater. The Boeing 737 LX-DIO which he’s been flying subsequently and which he used to the US last week is a 19-seater. President Akufo-Addo did not on one occasion charter a 40 or 50-seater capacity aircraft. Remember our presidential jet is a 17-seater very much within the same capacity range of the President’s newly acquired taste for ultra luxury monsters.

As the Defence Minister confirmed in Parliament on June 16, 2021 in reaction to my urgent question which many believe was a Freudian slip - I am referring to the infamous sky bath debacle; President Akufo-Addo is simply motivated by an insatiable desire for profligacy and extreme personal comfort never exhibited by any of his predecessor presidents.

The fundamental question therefore is — how did this ailing economy which cannot afford more than a 4% pay rise for agitating organized labour suddenly become buoyant to afford a new bigger ultra luxury jet which by conservative market estimates would not cost the Ghanaian taxpayer anything less than US$65million (GHS392.6million)?

After the acute lack of accountability, disdain for Ghanaians seeking transparency and the gross disrespect of Parliament in the pursuit of our constitutional mandate of oversight, it would be exceedingly interesting to see how Parliament would be approached with this needless, gravely insensitive and badly-timed agreement for a new bigger ultra luxurious aircraft in this climate of grand opacity and excruciating economic hardship. Nana To Procure New presidential JET ✈️ ✈️ ✈ ️✈️ Mr. Eugene

According to the head if communications at the Jubilee. Mr. Arhin Says the Prez will consider the procurement of a new Falcon.

This has gain legs in the airwaves and on social media as well. Some people are of the view its not needful . And some Honourable and the elites as well has joined the conversation whiles the politician politicise it.

He further explained this new which is to be procured will contain 11loads of persons he said : " This aircraft will carry a load of 11 persons minus the crew. When the aircraft is travelling to the eastern part of USA or ASIA it will not load a crew of more than 8 plus the luggage so it depends on where it will go."

⚫ PRESIDENT Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo SPENDS A WHOOPING Ghc3.46million TO ‘BATH IN THE AIR' ON HIS RECENT TRIP ABROAD-- HON.Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa ALLEGES.

The minority spokesperson on foreign affairs and the law maker for North Tongu constituency, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has renewed his fight against the president’s wildly extravagant spending on expensive jets for his travels abroad.

The president traveled to England and later to Germany on national assignments and the cost and luxury of the jet hired for the travels have incensed the MP once more. He took to his page to lament and part of his post reads as this;

“.....for his recent travels to the UK on 27th July, 2021 to attend the Global Education Summit and last week’s state visit or Germany, he traveled with a VIP luxury charter jet, specifically known as the Boeing 737-900 ER PB53. The 19-seater luxury jet has features such as VIP lounge for relaxations, five star dining facility, Royal master bedroom, cinema room for in-air entertainment and a luxury shower.
The cost is estimated to cost the Ghana taxpayer US$14,000 per hour. The two trips to UK and Germany requires 28 hours of travel distances in and out plus an additional 13 hours of pick up and drop off time, the tax payer has been burdened again to the colossal tune of US$574,000.00. At the current exchange rate, that is staggering 3.46million Ghana cedis.”

In conclusion he added there should be a plan and policy on Presidential Travels .

⚫ Law Maker For North Tungo constituency on Prez.Nana Addo Travels And He Writes

Hon. Okudzeto Ablakaw Write ✍️

" It has become absolutely imperative to demand a national policy on presidential travels akin to what pertains in other jurisdictions.

This is most crucial to avoid the wanton abuse of discretion by President Akufo-Addo at the expense of the suffering taxpayer.

In many other jurisdictions, presidential travels are regulated by strict policies which mandates presidents to use presidential aircrafts for official purposes. Indeed, in other countries such as the USA, presidents are obliged to reimburse the state if presidential aircrafts are used for private business — that private business includes political campaigns and political fundraising events. Clearly, richer countries whose benevolence we are depending on to come to our aid with COVID-19 vaccines as our president pleaded with the Germans a few days ago are undoubtedly doing much better than us in ensuring that taxpayer funds are not dissipated in catering for the lavish lifestyles of insensitive leaders.

From our continuous monitoring, President Akufo-Addo still prefers to use VIP charter jets for his European travels despite being in firm possession of Ghana's presidential jet - the Dassault Falcon 900-EXE which remains in pristine condition and can fly non-stop to all those European destinations.

Since Ghana received the President Kufuor ordered Falcon in 2010, both President Mills and President Mahama have used the long range aircraft for all presidential travels. The records show that there were only two instances where the Communications Squadron of the Ghana Air Force requested that alternative arrangements be made for President Mahama because the presidential jet had been flown to France for routine servicing. It is essential to point out that those two alternative arrangements were unmistakably modest and nothing compared to the obscene ostentation of the current president's taste.

Our latest oversight reveals that following the public outrage in the aftermath of President Akufo-Addo's profligate expedition in May this year by opting for the world's most expensive and most extravagant private charter aircraft - the Airbus ACJ320neo which does not cost its clientele below £15,000 per hour to lease, he has since stayed away from that particular aircraft, and for very obvious reasons. This development may represent a rather small victory for the Ghanaian people, one may choose to argue.

That notwithstanding, I am sorry to disappoint you. President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is unable to wean himself off his insatiable appetite for ultra luxury charter jets at the expense of the struggling Ghanaian taxpayer. He remains totally impervious to the backlash and the outcry from Ghanaians demanding that he lives up to his own pledge to protect the public purse by utilizing the presidential jet which is a far cheaper and safer option.

For his recent travels to the UK on the 27th of July, 2021 to attend the Global Education Summit and last week's state visit to Germany, he blatantly refused to travel on the presidential jet. Instead, he opted for another top of the range VIP luxury charter jet specifically known to industry players as the Boeing 737-900ER BBJ3.

The Luxembourg-based aircraft is registered LX-DIO and operated by Global Jet Luxembourg. Its Manufacturer Serial Number (MSN) is 62515 with Line Number 5659.

The 19-seater luxury jet which has a HEX code 4D0213 is configured VIP, has 2x CFMI engines and was delivered to the current operators in November 2015.

Very few luxury jets boast of its features. Its manufacturers say the cabin is divided into multiple sections to guarantee exceptional comfort. It provides a VIP lounge for relaxation, Five-Star dining facilities, Royal Master bedroom, Cinema Room specially delineated for watching movies which is a separate accessory from other in-flight entertainment systems, and of course just as you predicted correctly, complete with a luxury shower (apparently, the sky bath continues unabated - all royalties paid to Defence Minister, Nitiwul).

If our government is dealing directly with the operators of the LX-DIO then it is costing the Ghanaian taxpayer at least US$14,000 per hour. However, if our government is leasing the aircraft via brokers or middlemen as it has gained notoriety for in many sectors, you shouldn't be surprised the Ghanaian taxpayer is being billed between US$18,000 and US$22,000 per hour.

Using the conservative rate of US$14,000 per hour, the two trips to the UK and Germany which requires some 28 hours of travel distance in and out plus an additional 13 hours of pick up and drop off time, the taxpayer has been burdened again to the colossal tune of US$574,000.00. At the current exchange rate, that is a staggering 3.46million Ghana Cedis.

This unconscionable r**e of the public purse just to satisfy the creature comforts of a President who elects to live in vulgar ostentation in a manner that will make even Arabian kings envious cannot be allowed to continue. It is the reason I take the view that the time has come for this country to urgently formulate a policy on presidential travels.

We either have a presidential jet or we don't. More so, the President's reckless decision not to use the presidential jet which cost the Ghanaian taxpayer some US$37million in purchase price under President Kufuor and which we continue to maintain at great cost to the Ghanaian taxpayer while His Excellency “Nana Showboy” globetrots in ultra luxury VIP charter aircrafts at sky-high rates can no longer be left to the discretion of an immoderate President and the few politicians around him.

It is really shocking, I must say that the Ghanaian people can be treated with such presidential contempt when the dust is yet to settle on the Airbus ACJ320neo-sky-bath-scandal now infamous for the Ministerial acrobatics in Parliament just to cover up for the President and yet a leader who styles himself as the foremost protector of the public purse affronts Ghanaians with such shameless intransigence.

Well, for his information, the battle for accountability on the earlier trip has not ended; they were saved by the bell only momentarily due to the Parliamentary recess. President Akufo-Addo can be assured that this latest misconduct will also be subjected to surgical scrutiny by the NDC Caucus in Parliament when the august House resumes.

The Akufo-Addo/Bawumia administration must govern with a conscience and with true sincerity. How can you ask protesting youth, covid frontline healthcare workers, organised labour including agitating members of UTAG, GNAT, NAGRAT, Senior Staff Association-University of Ghana (SSA-UoG), Federation of Universities Senior Staff Association, GMA and a host of others to burden share and accept a paltry 4% wage increase to be paid by installment and still proceed to engage in such cruel wasteful extravagance?

If the President has no use for Ghana’s presidential jet, he may as well sell it so we can at the very least raise some funds to buy vaccines.

A National Presidential Travel Policy is a MUST and we need it NOW! "

⚫ “WE'RE WORKING ON A LAW TO STOP LGBTQI+ ACTIVITIES IN GHANA” – BAGBIN

The Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, says urgent actions are being taken to make clear laws against LGBTQI activities in Ghana.

According to the Speaker, there are ongoing stakeholder consultations to feed into a bill for that purpose.

Alban Bagbin disclosed this while responding to a letter from a political activist who had petitioned Parliament to amend Ghana’s laws to deal with the phenomenon in the country.

“I appreciate very much your concerns about activities of the LGBTQI+ groups in the country. It is indeed a phenomenon that should not be encouraged or accepted by our society due to its eventual negative impact on society.”

“Urgent actions are being taken to pass a law to eventually nip the activities of these groups in the bud. Stakeholder consultations are also ongoing, and the results will feed into a Bill that will eventually be passed into law by Parliament,” he wrote in the letter dated June 15, 2021, and sighted by citinewsroom.com.

The debate over the legalisation of LGBTQI rights in Ghana was revived earlier this year after police raided and closed down the offices of some LGBTQI campaigners at Ashongman in Accra.

Many religious bodies, parliamentarians, ministers, human rights advocates, supporters of the movement, and other relevant stakeholders waded into the discourse about the legalisation or criminalisation of homos*xuality in Ghana.

While some say the practice, if allowed, will serve interests that are abhorrent to the culture and values of the Ghanaian people, others insisted that the rights of LGBTQI persons must be protected.

BoG in talks with Kantanka on production of armoured bullion vans for banks

The Bank of Ghana is in talks with Kantanka Automobile on the possibility of manufacturing armoured bullion vans for transporting money in the country.

Currently, four banks have so far engaged the local automobile firm to manufacture such vans for their operations. According to the Chief Executive of the Kantanka Group of Companies, it will be patriotic on the part of the banks to engage their services to shore up Ghana’s economy.

He added, “when these vehicles are made right here, it will be easier for maintenance and servicing unlike when they are manufactured abroad which will be difficult to service not to take of car parts. ”

⚫ FixTheCountry protestors re-emerge with on social media after murder of police officer.
The gruesome murder of a police officer and an eyewitness by armed robbers at Adedenkpo, a suburb of James Town in Accra, on Monday, has left many Ghanaians on social media peeved and worried about the state of security in the country.

The unfortunate incident that occurred Monday afternoon has left the driver of the van carrying an undisclosed amount of money in a critical condition at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital after the robbers fired indiscriminately.

Among those concerned are protestors who currently, are demanding good governance and accountability from the incumbent government.

These campaigners have hit hard with another hash tag , to inform the government they would not back down until issues raised, which are leading to loss of lives and economic hardships, are addressed.
According to them, rather than focusing on saving the lives of ordinary Ghanaians, the police is investing time to prevent concerned citizens from holding the government accountable at the Court of Law.
The country has recently recorded a surge in daylight robberies in the Greater Accra Region.

⚫ IGP Must Retire For A More Enthusiastic Officer To Take Over – Security Analyst.

Security Analyst, Adam Bonaa has called on the Inspector General of Police (IGP) James Oppong-Boanuh to retire.

His call comes after armed robbers killed a police officer, an eyewitness and injured a bullion van driver at Adedenkpo, a suburb of Jamestown in Accra on Monday. Speaking on Top Story, Monday, he said the failure of the police to curb the surge in robbery cases can be attributed to the non-replacement of aged police officers with young and energetic ones who can introduce innovative ways to fight the ongoing menace.

" I am putting the blame at the doorsteps of the Police IGP and I am advocating that he should go, he has reached retirement age, they have given him two extensions so he should go home for more enthusiastic, energised officers who are within the 60 years limit to take over and probably put a bit more enthusiasm into the Ghana Police.“When was the last time we saw any serious reshuffle? Police operation reshuffle, commanders being moved left and right, nothing,” He added the country has recently recorded a surge in daylight robberies in the Greater Accra Region. On Wednesday, June 9, a man was shot in the stomach in a daylight robbery by two armed men. He was pronounced dead 24 hours after being treated at the 37 Military Hospital. Two armed men that same day also broke into a forex bureau near Honeysuckle in Osu. They stormed the structure near the Police Station and made away with an undisclosed amount of money.

According to Mr Bonaa, the importation and manufacturing of illicit (unlawful or illegal) fi****ms has contributed to the increasing number of robbery cases in Ghana. Describing it as worrying and a course for concern, he stated that if care is not taken, criminals will plunge the nation into a state of instability. Accusing State Security Officials of failing to rid the country of illegal possession of fi****ms, he said, “If they had attempted to collect data on illicit fi****ms, they would have realised that we have too many fi****ms, we got to suspend everything we are doing and go into town and retrieve these fi****ms.”

The Security Analyst further noted that crime patterns have changed,
” from night robbery to daylight robbery and so it tells you that the modus operandi of these criminals involves tracking down their victims. ” He urged the Ghana Police Service to utilise CCTV cameras mounted on the streets to fish out criminals in the country.
“We have spent millions of dollars to install CCTV Cameras. In one of my publications, I asked if this crime was to happen in London or US the first five, ten minutes you will see a video out there saying we are looking for these people. When was the last time we saw this done in Ghana. We just install them as if they are dummy cameras.”

Meanwhile, the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), has directed the Director-General, Criminal Investigation Department to take over investigations into circumstances leading to the killing of a police officer and a bystander during the attack.

⚫ IGP ORDERS CID TO INVESTIGATE ON ON GOING BULLION ATTACKS.

Mr. Oppong-Boanuh has also directed the Director-General of the Criminal Investigations Department to take over the investigations into the latest bullion van attack.

“The Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Mr. James Oppong-Boanuh has directed the Director-General Criminal Investigation Department to take over the investigation into the attack on a bullion van at Adedenpo, a suburb of James Town in Accra on 14Th June 2021, which led to the murder of a police officer.”

Police had said the unidentified armed men, on not less than three motorbikes, crossed the bullion van and started shooting sporadically.

In the process, two persons were shot dead instantly – the police officer on es**rt duty, and an unidentified woman who was affected during the shooting.

The bullion driver sustained injuries and was sent to the Korle Bu hospital for treatment. Two tellers who were in the bullion escaped unhurt.

The weapon of the policeman was also taken away, together with an unspecified amount of money.

⚫ ‘Provide armoured bullion vans or we’ll stop es**rting your cash’
– IGP to banks

In the wake of incessant robbery attacks on bullion vans in the country, the Inspector General of Police, James Oppong-Boanuh, has asked banks to provide fortified armoured vehicles for carting money.

The vehicles used by most banks operating in Ghana as bullion vans are not fit-for-purpose, putting both the personnel and the money being transported at risk.

Some police officers on these special duties have repeatedly complained about the unavailability of bullet proof vests and sophisticated weapons to protect them on these assignments, aside from the sub-standard bullion vans.

The Police Chief said he will stop his officers from providing protection for these so-called bullion vans if the banks fail to adhere to the directive by the end of June this year.

The IGP gave the directive in a statement on the back of the latest attack on a bullion van at Adedenpo, a suburb of James Town in Accra on Monday, June 14, 2021.

The attack led to the killing of a young police officer and a trader.
