HOGNETSOTSO FESTIVAL IS COMING ON LIVE.
Dear Volta Youths and Tourism enthusiasts,
Kindly save a lot of money for “NOVEMBER IN VOLTA” because it’s going to be back to back celebrations of our most popular and exciting Festivals.
First week in November is the Hogbetsotso Za by the people of Anlo which starts from the 1st to 6th of November, with the main Durbar of Chiefs on Saturday the 5th of November.
Praying this years Hogbetsotso is bigger and better leaves sweet memories in our hearts and minds just as the has done!
And then the coming weeks would be the much anticipated Aflao Godigbe Festival by the people of near the Ghana-Togo border. The Festival which is going to be one of the most exciting events of the year has a lot of fine packages including a tour to “Notsie” in Togo which is the last place our Ancestors settled before moving to Ghana.
And the Aftown guys are looking forward to make a bold statement with this festival so I can’t wait to experience what they got up there sleeves.
It starts with a tour through the paths our Ancestors walked from the 11th to 13th and then the main events starts from 19th to the 27th of November 2022 with the main Durbar of Chiefs on Saturday the 26th of November.
And then the last event in the “November In Volta” line up is my own Avenor people celebrating the which is the brainchild of the Paramount Chief, Torgbui Dorglo Anumah. Hoping this years event would be worth it.
It also comes off in the last week in November from the 24th to the 27th of November with the main Durbar of Chiefs happening on Saturday the 26th of November.
And good news is that some of us have decided to invoke the RTI rule after this years festival and also seek for “Public biddding” in order to make sure the Festival is not exploited for personal gains by some individuals.
So see you this November!!! And don’t worry ehhh, would get a bus and camping gears for a few friend willing to join me explore Southern Volta in November.
