On Monday, 27th March 2023, I welcomed the US Vice President, the Hon. Kamala Harris, to Jubilee House, the seat of the nation's presidency.

The purpose of the visit by the American Vice President is to re-affirm the ties of co-operation and the bonds of friendship that our two countries attach to our relations with each other. Vice President Harris and I first had the opportunity of meeting in the White House in 2021, and, subsequently, where we both pledged our commitment to exploring further areas of interest for the mutual benefit of our two countries. This visit reinforces our commitment to engage each other further to this end.

I am happy to state that this afternoon’s meeting has further boosted the steadfast cooperation between us, and Ghana would continue to collaborate with the United States of America at all levels, particularly towards the peaceful resolution of conflicts and in the search for global peace and security to promote sustainable development around the globe.

*Lets continue to work together - Lands Minister to Press Corps*

Hon. Samuel A. Jinapor (MP), the Minister for Lands and Natural Resources has commended the media, particularly his Ministry’s press corps for their dedicated service to the Ministry and the country during the year.

Speaking at a press soiree on Thursday, December 22, 2022, the Hon. Minister said his outfit views the media as an indispensable arm of their work and will continue to engage with the press corps to keep Ghanaians informed about activities of the Ministry.

He said throughout what he will describe as a “hectic year”, the press corp remained faithful to the Ministry and gave the Ministry the needed platform to share it’s achievement.

Whiles highlighting his open door policy which extends to media engagement, Hon. Jinapor also encouraged the journalists to collaborate with the Public Relations Unit of the Ministry to enhance a mutually satisfactory framework that will guide their activities.
