DANGME MOVIE IS NOT GOING FAR BECAUSE THE MOVIE MAKERS DO NOT SEE IT AS BUSINESS - MR GABRIEL ADJAOTTOR( SONGORTSE)

Mr. Korley Adjaottor, an actor and movie producer made this revelation on WA YINƆ DO, an entertainment show on Sege-based radio station, Okorli 96.1fm, in the Ada West district on Saturday, 9th March, 2024, when responding to why Dangme movies are not making waves as expected. He added that, other challenges of the Dangme movie industry are, lack of investors, producers not using actors from all the Dangme communities.

In responding to how much he made as actor in his 12 years in the industry, he said he could only boast of Ghc30 so far.

Finally, he said he decided to become a producer because he has been seeing himself in dreams writing movie scripts for the past 4 years and that makes him believe he can also make movies. He stated that, he has become a producer to help change the perception that, movie making is just for fun.

Songortse is the CEO of KAS Productions, a movie making firm. They have produced their first movie titled "Atui Nya Ka" and the premiering comes off on 17th March, 2024 at the Kasseh Lorry Station at 12noon. It features many of the known Dangme actors. Bra Levels DOESN'T LISTEN TO ADVICE-

Kwaku Origin, an outspoken musician from Shai made some interesting revelations on WA YINƆ DO, an entertainment show on Sege-based radio station, Okorli 96.1fm, in the Ada West district on Saturday, 2nd March, 2024. Kwaku made this revelation when pouring his heart out about how some frontliners of the Dangme showbiz industry are destroying the industry with their personal agenda instead of using their positions to champion the "Dangme Agenda". He mentioned that, he was incharge of press releases for Dangme Music Awards when it started in 2020 but had to leave the team and stop filing for nominations because, he realized the scheme has drifted from its core mandate of helping the industry grow to running the scheme as a business entity for personal gains.

When the host quizzed if he advised the CEO of the scheme before about doing the right thing, he said he did but the CEO is someone who doesn't take advice.

The "Sika Sane" hitmaker added that, if we want the industry to progress, frontliners should not be selective and selfish in choosing artistes for major events on the Dangme land. He emphasized on the fact that, there is the need to look beyond the flaws of artistes and focus more on the good things they can offer to the industry.

This is not the first time that Kwaku Origin has come out publicly to speak up about the rot in the Dangme showbiz industry.
He has made a number of Facebook posts to hammer on these issues.

Kwaku origin is currently promoting his single "Sika Sane" currently available on all digital platforms. He will soon outdoor his new album, possibly in May, 2024.
