Western North Council have decided to boycott TV3 Ghana most beautiful pagent. The council felt western North representation Afrah's eviction was inappropriate.
Read their release below:
Western North will communicate to management of TV 3 to disassociate ourselves
from ever participating in the GMB program and all other programs by TV 3 for the total cheat and blackmail of our candidate Afrah. Afrah was 4th on the Voting list, has won best performance for two occasions and best costume for 1 occasion, she has never come up on eviction and was described as the best performance on the day of her eviction so what exactly did they base their assessment on for the eviction?
We congratulate Afrah for making us proud and we will let her know that she is always our Queen. God bless Western North.

President Kenyatta of Kenya has declared 4 days of mourning.

In Rwanda President Kagame has declared 10 days with the flags flying at half mast.

Malawi President Chakwera has declared 10 days.

And Jamaica 🇯🇲 have declared a 12 day mourning as well.

In 1759, after years of toiling and suffering on the plantations, Takyi and his allies, Yaw, Sobadu and Kwarteng, who were also of Ghanaian descent, escaped into a cave far beyond their plantations to plan a rebellion.

They escaped during the day when everyone was occupied with work or at night and returning before daybreak. With full support from Queen Nanny, Takyi’s plan was to defeat the British and all slave masters and create Jamaica as a separate and independent black colony.

In May of 1760, Takyi and his followers started the revolt in the early hours of the morning, starting at the plantation where they worked, killing the owners and thus freeing all the slaves.

Maamobi residents protest 21-day eviction notice

Residents of Maamobi, some of who have lived in the community since 1967, have poured out onto the streets in protest against government’s plan to evict them.

Clad in red and carrying placards they said the 21-day notice to evacuate or be forced out, is too short, unfair.

Diagnosed with colon (colorectal) cancer more than two years ago and now given a year or less to live, 29-year-old Shaunice Dean is refusing to let the dreaded disease steal her happiness, even as it takes a toll on her health.

"My son, sister and niece keep me going. They are my main inspiration," she told THE WEEKEND STAR. "I have a beautiful smile I think, so why not smile? I can choose either to be happy for the rest of my years or sad every day..."

I DID NOT ATTACK SHATTA WALE, CASE CLOSE LET'S MOVE ON - Wiyaala

After news broke out over the weekend of a misunderstanding between Wiyaala, SummerStage NYC and Shatta Wale's team where Wiyaala sought for explanations from both sides, she finally came out to tell the world 🗺 her findings and has edged all to let go and let's move on.

Mr Mohammed Marda who is the Chairman of the African Advisory Council to the Bronx Borough President's Office, wrote to apologize to Wiyaala and her team and has taken full responsibility for happened.

Wiyaala in a Facebook live earlier this week stated that, Shatta Wale also did well to contact her to tell his side of the story; "I love 😍 your craft and wouldn't do anything to disrespect and sabotage you" he said.

The Songstress also took time ⌚ to thank everyone who commented and shared the news 📰 since the issue broke out "because it has really helped in the peaceful resolution of the brouhaha" she added.

"When there is respect, love 😍 and unity at the end of the day, and a hand 🖐️ of peace is extended to you, you take it and move on" Wiyaala concluded.

"Before awards, there was talent"

Wiyaala made the above statement in a live video 📹 this morning after she and her band were disrespected during a citation presentation on summerstage.

According to the Yaga Yaga hit maker, this has been going on for long and when you expected people to know better, it gets worse.

She further went on to say she would not take anything she said back because what happened does not portray the unity, oneness and collaboration that was preached prior to the event.

Wiyaala has since rejected the citation since she is not a "backstage award taker".
