Fumso Polling Station Executives Declare Support For K.T Hammond.

More than 40 polling stations executives who are delegates of the New Patriotic Party in the Fumso electoral area in the Adansi Asokwa constituency have declared their unflinching support to their Member of Parliament Hon Kobina Tahir Hammond ahead of the party's parliamentary primaries in January 27.
In a press conference held at Fumso, the largest electoral area in the constituency, a convener for the group Isaac Afful said the 41 delegates of the Adansi Fumso electoral area declare their total support for Hon. KT Hammond and will vote massively for him come January 27 2024 in other to preserve the vote for the NPP in the constituency and for the mp to continue his "good works".
The Press conference was a reaction to a protest against the incumbent MP Hon K. T Hammond at Adansi Fumso on Friday 19th January, 2024.
According to Mr. Afful the said protest was led by some members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) against Hon. K.T Hammond describing their allegations leveled against the MP as false and malicious targeted at making the MP unpopular ahead of the primaries.
"The lady Agnes Aculey and the gentleman Franklin Yamoah seen in the video sending warning to the delegates towards the upcoming parliamentary elections are well known NDC members holding Women (organizer market square 3 Fumso and communication team member position respectively). Yaw Ofori who claims to be a member of the NPPis an anti-KT since 2012. So his actions are not new to us", he stressed

We Have Lost Our Cultural Values; Let the Missions Handle Schools Again- Rev. Anim tells Government.

The general overseer of the Glorious Gospel Church has appealed to the government to allow the Churches and missions to take control of schools again in order to repair the damaged moral fiber of the country.
Speaking at the dedication service of a school built by the Church, Rev. Robert Kobina Anim, who represented the general overseer, Rev. Dr. Abraham Willie Ntarmah, recounted how well students behaved in the days of mission schools. He explained that students that were trained under the tutelage of the missions were well-behaved and morally upright, among other attributes, but the same cannot be said of today’s students.He emphasized the need to allow the missions to take over education in the country again, as it will help the country eradicate corruption and other related social vices.
Speaking to Obuasi Tv, the Residents Pastor of the Subin District in the Upper Denkyira West of Central Region, whose jurisdiction the newly constructed school is situated, Prophet Isaiah Armstrong Obeng, bemoaned how “One Man Churches” hoard monies without using them for developmental purposes. He disclosed that the Glorious Gospel Church shall operate differently and will use the funds raised from the church to provide development, including the building of schools.
All these were captured at the dedication ceremony of the newly constructed school built by the church at Subin in the central region of Ghana.

Hon. Kwabena Tahir Hammond, Minister for Trade and Industry and member of Parliament for Adansi Asokwa in Ashanti region has explained reason why he couldn't campaign for Dr. Bawumia or Kennedy Agyapong in the just ended NPP Flagbearer election.
Speaking to the media after the election he said, "Hon. Kennedy Agyapong is my closest friend from Adisadel College, both of us were in the same camp of Dr. Bawumia for this fragbearership race, so I was very surprised when I received a call from him indicating that, he was going to content as a Fregbearer. So to avoid being bias, I had no option than to stay mute. But I wasn't psychological Intimidated by any person as Kennedy Agyapong's right hand Man Kwame Owusu claims" KT Hammond.
He urged the N.P.P to forget about whatever happened during the campaign and unite as one people with a common goal and fight to achieve victory in the 2024 election.
According him, party faithful shouldn’t be political enemies. Their enemy is N.D.C and they need everybody in the party to fight them.
The minister urge the party members to treat all offensive words from other party members as political gimmicks.
He described the presidential aspirants election as free and fair. He said N.P.P has shown maturity in democracy.
He further pointed out that , N.P.P are better managers of the Ghanaian economy than the N.D.C. According to the economic management team member, the economy is gradually taking good shape despite the challenges it faced during CVID-19 and Russia-Ukraine war.
Mr. Hammond stated that, this year’s budget which is expected to read on the 15th of this month is full of hope.

Anyinam Residents ‘Fight’ AngloGold Ashanti Over Proposed Site For Classroom Block.

Some residents of Anyinam, a mining Community in the Obuasi Municipality of the Ashanti Region, are up in arms against AngloGold Ashanti over the mining giants’ decision to put up a 24-unit classroom block in the community.
According to the aggrieved residents, who addressed the media in a press conference, AngloGold Ashanti has failed to properly engage the community to get their approval for the appropriate site for the project.
Eric Amaning, a leader of the angry residents, accused some selected people for misleading AGA to site the project at the Anyinam Methodist ‘A’ close to the Kwesi Mensah Shaft without recourse to the views of the community.
In line with this, the company has decided to demolish both the Anyinam Methodist ‘A’ and ‘B’ schools and put up a 24-unit classroom block at the site of the Methodist ‘A’ school near the Kwesi Mensah Shaft.
According to Eric Amaning, they cannot fathom why AGA wants to demolish the school which was sitting on a 14-acre land with football pitch and volley ball court to put up a new structure on a 3-acre land.
“The football pitch and volley ball court served the whole Anyinam community. Now you say you want to demolish it and build a 24-unit classroom block at the Methodist A premises which is only 3-acres. Does this mean we can’t have any playing field anymore.”
He said the community is no way opposed to the intention to build a new school but they are surprised how a 3-acre land can accommodate a project as huge as a 24-unit classroom block.
They are of the view that the proposed site is not ready to accommodate the new structure and also opined that the site is closer to the Kwesi Mensah Shaft.
They said the proximity of the school to the shaft may disrupt academic activities due to the excessive noise emanating from it.

The Church Is To Be Blamed For The Rampant Divorce Rate- Rev. Canon Prince Osei Yeboah.
Author and Reverend Father of Asante Bekwai Anglican Church, Canon Prince Osei Yeboah has revealed that the rampant rate of marital divorce in Ghana can be blamed on the church for shirking its responsibilities and allowing social media to set the standard for marriages.
According to him, marriages these days do not last because prospective couples do not include God in their relationship that leads to marriage, their relationships are mostly carnally motivated, the focus is to please people and to make it worse, the church which is to dictate the standard based on the principles of God have practically left that job to social media.
During a launch of his new book “PRE-MARITAL AND POST-MARITAL DIARY” the Man of God explained that his book, not only will it teach how young people can get married but also how to stay married till death do them part.
