The Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Jubilee Hall was commissioned at a colourful event at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi on Monday, April 15, 2024.

It was attended by dignitaries including the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, his wife, Lady Julia Osei Tutu, the Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei Mensah, and GOC of the Central Command, Brigadier General Michael Opoku.

Also present were the Ashanti Regional Police Commander, ACP Frank Abrokwa, the MP of Sakassou Constituency in Cote d’Ivoire, Hon Mansa Ndia, clergymen and traditional authorities.

The Market Queen of Kejetia, Nana Yaa Fowaa, and the Market Queen of Bantama, Nana Kyeiwaa. together with the market women in Kumasi, Ashanti Region, collectively donated ¢220,000 to support Otumfuo's Heal KATH initiative.

Kejetia, Central, and Abinkyi markets contributed ¢100,000, while Bantama, Race Course, and Suame markets gave ¢120,000.

Leading the women to present a dummy cheque before Otumfuo Osei Tutu II at the Manhyia Palace on April 4, 2024, were the Market Queen of Kejetia, Nana Yaa Fowaa, and the Market Queen of Bantama, Nana Kyeiwaa.

The third Akwasidae festival was held by His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Oseii Tutu II at the Manhyia Palace on March 31, 2024, graced by his wife, Lady Julia and their children

The festival was joined by the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council led by Hon Simon Osei Mensah; CEO of Jilf Health Services, Dr Albert Addai and his family; and founder of the Ghana Freedom Party, Madam Akua Donkor.

British politician Lord Paul Boateng and his spouse, Lady Janet Boateng; second-hand cloth dealers at Ashtown and Kejetia; students of Alexandra Park School in UK; and courtier Baffour Adu also joined to pay homage to Otumfuo.

Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II superintended over the climax of the 57th Congregation of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology on Saturday, March 23, 2024, in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.

The noble Chancellor of the KNUST during the event conferred Doctorate of Philosophy degrees (PhD) on 91 students of the institution.

Present at the event were the Minister for Education, Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum; the Vice Chancellor, Prof Rita Akosua Dickson; Chairman of the University Council, Justice Anin Yeboah; Pro Vice Chancellor, Prof Ellis Owusu-Dabo; and traditional authorities.

The Chief of Army Staff of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), Major General Bismarck Kwasi Onwona, paid a courtesy visit to Otumfuo Osei Tutu II at the Manhyia Palace on March 19, 2024.

This visit was part of his familiarization tour across the country following his appointment in February.

Among the delegation were Brigadier Generals, including Charles Agyemang Prempeh, General Officer Commanding the Central Command; RL Mensah, Commander of the Kumasi Military Hospital; and Y Salifu, the Deputy Chief Staff Officer for Plans and Policy at Army Headquarters, along with staff officers from Army and Central Command Headquarters.
