Invitation to the 61st Annual Quran Recitation and Tijaniya Muslim Council of Ghana
Assalamu Alaikum!
The Greater Accra executives of Tijaniya Muslim Council of Ghana, under the leadership of the Supreme leader Sheikh Khalifa Ahmad AbulFaidi Maikano R.T.A are delighted to extend an invitation to the general public to join us on the 61st annual Quranic recitation to be held in Prang, Bono East, of Ghana.
This three-day event has been a significant achievement for Ghana and is highly regarded among the Islamic community. It is an opportunity for us to come together in unity and devotion to Allah, seeking His blessings and guidance.
The annual Quran recitation is an integral part of Islamic tradition in Ghana which was initiated by Sheikh Abdullahi Ahmad Maikano with three core purposes which include seeking total approval from Almighty Allah, the development and flourishing of the Islamic religion in Ghana, and the unity and peace of our beloved nation, Ghana. This year's event is particularly special as we will be focusing on “Spreading the Message: Engaging Muslim Youth in Advocacy against Electoral Violence”. We believe this theme is crucial as it highlights the importance of promoting peace and unity, especially during times of political tension.
The event will run from Wednesday 10th January 2024, after dawn prayer to mark the commencement of the three days long event and end on Friday 12th January, 2024 after Juma’a Prayers to mark the 61st Anniversary.
We would be delighted to have you join us as we come together in unity and devotion to Allah. This is an opportunity for us to reflect on the teachings of the Quran, and we promise that the event will be a momentous occasion, with renowned Islamic scholars from different countries in Africa.
We look forward to having you join us in Prang as we seek the blessings of Allah and work towards a peaceful and prosperous nation.
