A PlayStation was mistaken for a bomb at Boston airport. The alarm went off during baggage screening. The scanner showed anomalies and distorted the image of a strange object, after which the staff called the bomb squad and began evacuation.
A special squad arrived on the scene and found out that the anomalies on the screen were caused by the PS console. It was so old and in such a terrible condition that it was not recognized. The authorities did not specify what model of the console was found during the inspection and its further fate is also not known.
India’s Gautam Adani Passes Warren Buffett To Become World’s 5th Richest Person
Gautam Adani’s incredible rise continues. The Indian infrastructure mogul became the richest Asian billionaire in history (in sheer dollar terms) earlier this month – and he’s kept on climbing. Adani has now passed Warren Buffett to become the 5th richest person in the world.
Forbes estimates that the 59-year-old Adani has a net worth of $123.7 billion, as of Friday’s market close, edging out the $121.7 billion fortune of Buffett, who is 91.
Adani is the founder and chairman of Adani Group, a port and energy conglomerate with six publicly traded companies in India. Shares of each of those businesses are up by between 19% and 195% this year, as Adani has led aggressive expansion into renewable energy, media, airports and more.
U.S. Billionaires
If you’re in the United States, chances are there’s a billionaire living among you. As part of the annual World’s Billionaires list, Forbes found 748 members of the three-comma club populating America – across 42 of the 50 states. The richest of each are collectively worth $1.4 trillion.
They live everywhere from Arizona to Wyoming, though most call one of just four states home: California (with 186 billionaire residents), New York (135), Florida (78) and Texas (67). In recent years, some of the super-rich have ditched the high-tax hubs—including Elon Musk and Larry Ellison, who both fled Silicon Valley.
Eight states have no billionaire residents at all: Alabama, Alaska, Delaware, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Dakota, Vermont and West Virginia.
New York’s wealthiest resident remains the same (media mogul Michael Bloomberg has held the title since 2019), change hit the other coast in 2022: Mark Zuckerberg is no longer the richest person in California.
Will Smith’s Memoir Surges On Best-Seller Lists After Oscars Slap
Will Smith’s memoir Will climbed the best-seller charts in the week after he slapped Chris Rock at the Oscars for joking about his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith.
Will, which was released last year, returned to USA Today’s list of the Top 150 Best Selling Books, at the No. 73 spot, its third-best week in sales.
The memoir debuted on the list at No. 3 and remained on it for 15 weeks.
Will also jumped on the Combined Print & E-Book Nonfiction New York Times bestseller list, to No. 2 from No. 14 in the chart that compiled data from the week ending on April 2.
50%. That’s how Americans viewed Smith favorably after the slap, according to a Morning Consult poll released last week. That’s down from the 80% who viewed him as such in January 2020.
OFFICIAL: Will Smith gets banned for a full TEN YEARS at the Oscars because of the Chris Rock incident
According to THR, the film academy has decided to ban the actor from attending the main ceremony of the film season as announced.
Will Smith said he "accepts and respects" the Academy's decision to disqualify him for 10 years.
It is worth noting that he is still eligible to be nominated and win the statuette.

Biden Administration Wants New Vehicles To Average 49 MPG By 2026
The Biden Administration, which is pushing automakers to get more electric vehicles on the road, is setting higher fuel-economy rules that require the average new car or truck to get nearly 50 miles per gallon of gasoline by 2026 as part of efforts to cut carbon pollution and save consumers money.
The new Corporate Average Fuel Economy, or CAFE, standards announced by Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg require an 8% industrywide increase in average fuel efficiency in both 2024 and 2025 model-year vehicles and a 10% boost in 2026. The overall increase is at least 10 mpg by 2026 and is up from an average of about 36 mpg in the 2021 model year.
The higher standard could reduce U.S. gasoline consumption by 234 billion gallons by 2050 and “means American families will be able to drive farther before they have to fill up, saving hundreds of dollars per year,” Buttigieg said in a briefing in Washington.
The Recording Academy And MasterCard Are Bringing Grammy Week Into Roblox
Six decades after the Grammy Awards appeared on the scene as black-tie events featuring legends like Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin, music’s biggest night is shaking things up once again, this time by entering the metaverse.
Grammy Week — which features a number of preview events ahead of the awards on April 3 — is happening on Roblox, a gaming platform that lets people explore virtual worlds built by individuals and companies. By hosting the events, the Recording Academy hopes to reach a younger audience and experiment with ways to engage with fans.
Virtual meet-and-greets on Roblox will feature rock band Glass Animals, country singer-songwriter Walker Hayes, actress-musician Sofia Carson and the pop-metal star Poppy. Other events will include a virtual performance by Grammy-nominated Latin artist Camilo, games, digital merchandise and a red-carpet area where users can wear virtual clothing and take selfies in a virtual photo booth.

MacKenzie Scott, billionaire philanthropist, announced she has donated more than $3.8 billion to 465 non-profit organizations since June — bringing her publicly disclosed donations to more than $12 billion since she pledged to give away the majority of her wealth in 2019.
The recipients range from the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, which received a $281 million gift, to Habitat for Humanity, which announced a $436 million donation — Scott’s largest publicly disclosed donation.

Approximately 60% of the organizations Scott donated to are led by women, and about 75% are led by “people with lived experience in the regions they support and the issues they seek to address,” according to Scott.
Oscars 2022: ‘CODA,’ Takes Best Picture — But Will Smith’s Slap Overshadows Academy Awards
Awards season came to an end Sunday with the Academy Awards, where movies CODA, Dune and Encanto and actors Troy Kostur, Ariana DeBose and Will Smith won some of the most prestigious film industry honors — but a violent outburst by Smith overshadowed the show.
CODA won three awards, including Best Picture, Actor in a Supporting Role and Adapted Screenplay.
The night’s winners took a back seat to an incident involving Will Smith and Chris Rock, in which Smith punched Rock in the face and yelled at Rock for joking about his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith.
The Power Of The Dog was the most-nominated film this year with 12 nods, though it only won one, and Dune took home six trophies and was the winningest title of the ceremony.
Most frontrunners took home trophies, including Smith for best actor for King Richard, Ariana DeBose for best supporting actress in West Side Story and Troy Kostur for Best Supporting Actor in CODA.
Grandma Ruth Gregson of the United States trained 65 of her cats to steal from her neighbors. The kitties managed to steal about $650,000 worth of jewelry.
Police became interested in the retiree in October 2021 when several of her neighbors reported missing jewelry. During one outing, police spotted a cat running past them with a pendant in its teeth. Investigators set up surveillance and saw that Ruth's cats were indeed bringing jewelry from all over the neighborhood to her house.
Ruth confessed that she had fostered her cats to steal when questioned and that they would get food for shiny objects. In this way she managed to steal more than 5,000 houses and apartments. Now Ruth faces imprisonment.

Spotify Says It Paid $7 Billion In Royalties In 2021 Amid Claims Of Low Pay From Artists
Spotify said it paid out $7 billion in royalties last year to rights holders, in a transparency report, following critiques from within the music industry that the streaming service pays artists minuscule amounts.
Spotify’s royalty payments increased by $2 billion in 2021, up from $5 billion in 2020.
Instead of paying artists directly, Spotify pays rights holders — record labels, distributors or others — who artists allow to put their music on the platform, and who in turn pay the artists with the money earned on the streaming service.
The streaming service said that for the first time, over 1,000 artists made more than $1 million through royalties on its platform.
Spotify said it paid out over $1 billion to publishing rights holders and $4 billion to major record labels.
28% of the artists who self-distribute on the platform generated over $10,000.
Real hero: Nicolas Cage confirmed that he did low-budget movies to pay off debts and keep his mother out of a mental institution
"Some of them were terrific, like 'Mandy.' Some of them weren't great. But I'll point out that I never botched it. If you thought I didn't care about what I was doing, that's a misconception. I really cared," said Nicholas in the new issue of GQ.
As for the filming of the long-awaited "National Treasure" trilogy, Cage has no information so far and is waiting for a call from Disney.
GOP Rep. Mo Brooks Claims Trump Asked Him To Reinstate Trump Presidency
Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Ala.) said he rejected a request from former President Donald Trump to “immediately” put him back in the White House after President Joe Biden’s victory was certified by Congress — a stunning admission about Trump’s post-election behavior.
In a statement issued hours after Trump un-endorsed Brooks in a Senate race, Brooks claimed Trump has asked him to “rescind” his election loss, return him to the White House and “hold a new special election for the presidency” — an unprecedented set of proposals that Congress has no legal or constitutional authority to follow through on.
The congressman says he told Trump this request was unconstitutional since any recourse to reverse the results of the 2020 election disappeared after Congress certified the Electoral College results on January 6, 2021, which angered the former president.
