The people selected to guard Togbe Xe's grave are called "Xeviwo" (descendants of Xe), which is Xeviwofe today (home of Xeviwo).
Also called Akrofu
They're color symbol is red because they're leader died and they were mourning

The person who led the group after Togbe Xe, was Togbe Sa.
They got to a place where they found green and very fertile lands.
A group headed by Togbe Sa decided to settle there because the land was very good for farming.
They're called Saviwo(descendants of Sa)
Which is Saviwofe today (home of Saviwo)
They're color symbol is green because of the green vegetation they came across

The other group was led by Togbe So. He was like a native doctor. He was a "blusi" as referred to in our dialect.
So they're color symbol is blue because of who they're leader was.

The rest of the people also left to go and settle elsewhere.
And when they were going, their aim was to also get a good place to settle.
So they encouraged themselves and said, "let's be going, it shall be well"
Min) yiyi ko, elavanyo.
Truly truly it was well with them. They also settled happily.
They are the Alavanyo people today
They're color symbol is white because they found victory.

It's just beautiful when we're celebrating the SASADU Festival

WHATS DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ANLO TRADITIONAL COUNCIL AND THE ANLO DUKOR COUNCIL?

In a layman's understanding of the customs and traditions of the Anlo State, the difference between the Anlo Traditional Council and the newly created Anlo Dukor Council which simply means Anlo State Council, can best be described as: Anlo Traditional Council refers to the traditional authority of the Anlo Traditional Area only; whereas, the Anlo Dukor Council, consisting of several traditional councils such as that of Avenor, Amugo-Wego, Aflao, Some, Kome-Shime, etc. These traditional councils governing the various traditional areas of the Avenor, Aflao, Dzodze, Penyi states, constitutes the 36 states of Anlo as a whole.

However, the Anlo Agorwowonu remains the oldest and highest court of the Awormefia of Anlo and as such would have been the right Court (in the humble opinion of the Volta Community Connect) and State council of the the Anlo Dukor

ANLO AND ASORGLI NEEDS TO UNITE FOR VOLTA

Volta Region is the only region with the highest number of traditional areas yet lacks unity as a people of common origin and cultural heritage. Ghana currently has 8 sub-national kingdoms made up of diverse traditional areas with a nationally recognized overlord such as the Ya-Na of Dagbon Kingdom, Nayiri of Mamprugu Kingdom, Yagbonwura of Gonja Kingdom, Asantehene of Asante Kingdom, Awormefia of Anlo, Agbogbomefia of Asorgli, Bimbila Naa who is the overlord of the Nanung Kingdom and most recently the Ga Mantse who now has about six or more traditional paramountcies under him thus elevating his status from a paramount chief to Overlord of the Ga State (Ga Mashie).

Out of that eight kingdoms, Volta Region alone has two powerful kingdoms dating back to the late 1400s. Asorgli alone has 33 traditional areas under the jurisdiction and dominion of the amalgamated Asorgli Traditional Area while Anlo has 36 states with eleven or more of its states having traditional council status.

A united Dogbo nation will enhance the unity and brotherly relations with other Ewe tribes like the Adza, Fon, Bé, Anehor (Gé), etc.

A united Anlo and Asorgli means both autonomous kingdoms commit to promoting bilateral relations, hold joint forums for the development of Volta Region, ensure peace and stability, represent the culture and traditions of Eweland.

At least both states should dedicate November as a VOLTA HERITAGE MONTH as brilliantly suggested by Selorm Ameza.

Asorgli, Anlo and Tongu constituting the Volta Region has a lot to offer Ghana and the world in terms of tourism, education, industry, tech parks, etc.

We got divided by geography 500 years ago and we are in 2024 now, let's unite for our own sake. It has to start from our Fiagawo down to Dufiawo, Dumegawo then trickle down to communities. WE CAN DO IT!

Celestine Donkor misspoke agree. She realized her mistake. She has rendered an apology. What else can she do to pacify the ewe people.

We did similar thing to Bishop Charles Egen Asare . We said all manner of things to him where did it get us. When we get the opportunity to teach the world about ewe culture of love, tolerance, unity and all the beautiful things about us we rather come in the clear view of the world and display hatred, divisiveness and immaturity.

Just as in Bishop Asare’s issue we blew a big opportunity to tell people about the beautiful town called Nogokpo rather we enforced what people already had in their mind.

Guess what. We are doing the same thing here with Celestine Donkor. People already have misconceptions about us.
1. They think we are wicked people
2. They think we are diabolic
3. They think we have pull him Down syndrome Etc.

That is why most tribes don’t want to marry us. Our own women prefer other tribes than us
It’s hard to rent an apartment if you are ewe. Looking for a job is harder for an ewe and so many negative things.

Why are we not trying to change the narratives.
Why are we cementing the negative ideas people have about us.

So does two wrongs make a right? Is there no forgiveness in our culture. If Celestine was your family will you be happy the way insults are being directed at her?

Most of the young ewe youth especially those born in the cities are even shy to speak the ewe language. Even when they try to speak in public they will be told to speak twi. The other day I had to come to the defense of a young ewe lady from Anloga who works for me. She was even speaking English to the guys at work and the guys told her to speak twi. I got angry at them and.
