The Sacred Journey to Ancestral Stools Purification.
Friday (20/12/2024)

The is a very special activity in the celebration of the Kwafie Festival. This day is set aside to purify all ancestral stool in the Dormaaman State.

Individuals with a duty are being tasked to carry these stools on their heads as they are being moved by the spirits in these stools till, they settle at the Paamu River.

The purification happens as need to cleanse these stools of any dirt and refresh for the people its serving.

The Paamu river after the purification is believed to have been cleansed and refreshed hence good for the citizen of the Dormaaman State for all purposes.

As part of the Kwafie Festival Celebrations ; All ancestral stools in the Dormaa Land is sent to River Paamu for Ancestral Purification and Cleansing.

On this day all Chieftaincy Division bring out thier black stools for purification marking the beginning of a year for the people of Dormaa State.
