SUPREME GOSPEL CHURCH INT'L
MORNING DEVOTIONAL
DATE: 10TH SEPTEMBER
THEME: Arise and Do Exploits for God
Verse of the Day:
"But the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits." - Daniel 11:32b (NKJV)
Devotional:
In a world that often pulls us in different directions, it's essential to align ourselves with God's purposes and carry out exploits that honor Him. Let's reflect on a few key principles from Scripture that will guide us in this path.
1. Know Your God:
To carry out great exploits for God, we must first know Him intimately. Psalm 46:10 encourages us, "Be still, and know that I am God." Take time each day to be still before the Lord, seeking His presence, studying His Word, and cultivating a deep relationship with Him. Through this close communion, we will gain the strength and insight we need for the exploits He has prepared for us.
2. Trust in His Power:
As we embark on exploits for God, it's important to remember that our strength does not come from ourselves but from the Lord. Philippians 4:13 declares, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Recognize that God's power is made perfect in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9), enabling us to accomplish far more than we could by relying solely on our own abilities.
3. Be Bold and Fearless:
Exploits for God require boldness and a willingness to step out in faith. Joshua 1:9 reminds us, "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go." Let go of fear, doubt, and insecurity, trusting that God is by your side, leading and empowering you to impact lives for His glory.
4. Seek Divine Guidance:
To maximize our effectiveness in doing exploits for God, we must seek His guidance in all we do. Proverbs 3:6 instructs, "In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths." As we surrender our plans and aspirations to God, He will direct our steps and open doors of opportunity that align with His perfect will.
Closing Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank you for the privilege of serving you and being part of the exploits you have ordained for us. We ask for the guidance and strength to carry out great exploits in your name. May we intimately know you and rely on your power, boldly stepping out in faith. Give us the wisdom to seek your guidance at every turn, that our actions may bring you glory and draw others to your loving embrace. In Jesus' name, we pray, amen.
As you live out each day, be encouraged that you are not alone on this journey of exploits. Trust in the Lord, knowing that He is with you, empowering you to make a difference for His kingdom. Go forth with boldness, knowing that through God, you can accomplish great things.
Have a blissful day.
