For it is written:

I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own. As the Father knows Me, even so I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep.

Have you thought about how the Sabbath is God's gift of time for us?

The Sabbath was Adam and Eve's first full day as children of God and their first day as a married couple (Genesis 2:1-3). Like Adam and Eve, we can cease worrying about our daily troubles on the Sabbath (Exodus 20:8-11). The Sabbath differs from previous days in that it provides a respite. On this day, we should engage in activities comparable to those enjoyed during the original Sabbath in Eden.

As we shift occupations, the Sabbath is a time to have fellowship with God and to be refreshed (Exodus 31:17). May you be refreshed this Sabbath!

God knows you need self-care. He also knows that the best way to care for yourself is to step back from the rat race that one can get so easily sucked into. God gave the gift of a weekly Sabbath, so you can "be still and know" that He is God (Psalm 46:10), and that everything doesn't have to rest on your shoulders. Sabbath is also the perfect time for "casting all your cares upon Him, for He cares for you." (1 Peter 5:7)

Happy Sabbath!

Many Christians for decades have studied the Bible in order to identify rules to live when we could have and should have studied the Holy Word to get to know our Holy and Heavenly Father.

Have you fallen into the trap of living by the letter of the law in order to prepare for Jesus’ second coming instead of living in the Word of God and the Holy Spirit in order to prepare your heart for His coming?

If you have felt pressure, anxiety, and fear around Jesus’ return, you’re not alone, but there is a better way to live.

During your prayer time today, pray for the Holy Spirit to help you recognize the nearness of Jesus’ coming as an event to celebrate! Take time to seek Him with all your heart and dig deeper in His Word today.

We want to hear from you–especially if you fear the Second Coming. Let’s talk about it.

Why does the 4th commandment start with "Remember"? It is interesting to note that God anticipated a lot of controversy over the seventh-day Sabbath. So God needed to do something unique to preserve the knowledge of His mighty act of creation. That power to speak heaven and earth into existence would distinguish Him from all the counterfeit gods and their deceptive claims. David wrote, “For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the Lord made the heavens” (Psalm 96:5).

Take some time to know God more through his creation today. Happy Sabbath!

The concept of creation is categorized into two parts: God and the world, the Creator and His creation. Whatever is not God was created by God and exists because of God. Only God is worthy of praise. The Creator is never lowered to the position of creation, and the creature is never elevated to the position of Creator.

The second coming of Christ will bring God’s kingdom to its pinnacle of victory and splendor. It will be personal, universally visible, audible, and full of power and glory. He will return to reclaim those who have been redeemed.

The righteous dead will be resurrected, and the righteous living will be converted and become incorruptible, receiving the promise of salvation.

“Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.” –Matthew 24:30 NKJV

Verses like this give such amazing perspective to the kind of God we serve.

If you don’t believe in God, are just curious, are a lifelong believer, or someone who is just returning to the faith, You belong. You are wanted. You haven’t slipped past God’s notice or fallen off His radar. He’s not waiting at the door to say, “I told you so” or “you can’t come in.”

Our Heavenly Father is waiting for you with open arms, ready to pour out His love upon you and say, “I know a much better way. If you let Me, we can do it right this time.”

Repentance isn’t changing our behavior so we ACT holy, it’s rebuilding a better perspective of God so that our relationship grows deeper and we ARE holy.

“Christ was a living representative of the law. No violation of its holy precepts was found in His life. Looking upon a nation of witnesses who were seeking occasion to condemn Him, He could say unchallenged, "Which of you convicteth Me of sin?" John 8:46.”
(Ellen G. White, Desire of Ages Chapter 29)
There could be an entire sermon series on how Christ is the representative of the law (new series idea? Sound off in the comments). Though Jesus was revolutionary in many ways, that doesn’t mean He disposed of the law. Quite the opposite!
Jesus wasn’t an anarchist ready to destroy the law, but to represent the fullness of how it is meant to be lived.
Under sin, man made the law a restrictive set of rules to be feared, a tightrope to walk in the hopes of not messing up. But God made the law to provide liberating guidance and protection on how to live our lives to the fullest within His will.
Christ showed us how to thrive within the law of God.

Christ has obtained a much more excellent ministry than that presented in the old covenant. The Messiah lived a perfect life and He died in our stead. Thus, He mediated a new, better covenant between us and God.

The Lord’s Supper became a symbolic demonstration of the new covenant.
“And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them and said, ‘Take, eat; this is My body.’ Then He took the cup, and when He had given thanks He gave it to them, and they all drank from it. And He said to them, ‘This is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many’—Mark 14:22-24.
Learn why the practice of reenacting the Lord’s Supper is not as shallow as we may think. Discover the deep meaning in commemorating Christ’s loving kindness and how it greatly impacts our lives.

Understanding baptism is an integral part of the great Gospel Commission. It is a key component of the Christian faith that testifies to our commitment to follow Jesus.

Baptism honors Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection. For the individual, it signifies a choice to start an intentional journey that is deeply built and linked with Jesus Christ. It represents a transition from a life of sin to a life in the Spirit.

When we accept Christ, we die to our old self and live a new life with Him.

Romans 6:11-12 says, "Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts."
