As one would anticipate the marketplace to be abuzz with abounding activity, a town's heart, so was the vibrant town of Keta, in the coastal Volta region of Ghana, brimming with a unique artistic fervor during the recently concluded Tsadidi Street Art Festival.

The cultural gem, in its second year, of running, was graced by an ensemble of artists, students, and enthusiastic spectators, all drawn together by the captivating allure of the festival's theme: 'Identity'. This extraordinary convergence was masterminded by none other than Glenn Sam, a revered walking artiste renowned for his uncanny ability to convert an ordinary landscape into a visual storytelling masterpiece. His versatile identity as a humanitarian, brand, and cultural influencer shone brighter than ever as he lived his creative mantra, promoting "hidden, diverse specific and unadulterated arts" through the festival.

The distinctiveness of this spectacle was underlined right at the onset by an unusual gesture: a grand procession that mimicked the strategic reverse walk that saved the Anlo from the wicked King Agorkorli- a backward walk into Keta, led by GlennSamm himself, wreaking curiosity and intrigue among the eager onlookers.

The festival's audacious commencement effectively set the stage for the ensuing splendid panorama of painting the town, a display of artistic prowess that would leave an indelible imprint on the hearts of the townsfolk.

Ko-Jo Cue Returns to the Spotlight with Highly Anticipated 'I'm Back' EP"

Ghana's best hip-hop storyteller, Ko-Jo Cue, has announced the release of his upcoming EP, "I'm Back," scheduled for release on November 16. The rapper, who last graced fans with his EP "21 Memory Lane" in 2021, took a break from music and social media.

After a two-year music hiatus and a seven-month social media break, the rapper returned to the limelight with "Free Throw," a joint effort with fellow artist Joey B. A notable highlight of Ko-Jo Cue's resurgence was his participation in the BET Hip-Hop Awards 2023 Cypher, where he proudly represented Ghana on the international stage.

Making his announcement, Ko-Jo Cue shared a video that featured an interview with basketball legend Michael Jordan, who famously returned to the court in 1995 after a brief retirement. He captioned the post: "The unbeaten run continues! 4th Quarter Cue! Jump Ball in 7 days! I’m Back EP … Nov 16th. Stay Tuned!"

Raised in the energetic rhythms of West Africa, Linford Kennedy Amankwaa, known to the world as Ko-Jo Cue, is a Ghanaian hip-hop artist who continues the legacy of the region's revered griots. As a songwriter and lyricist, he weaves tales of African life through a lens both introspective and socially aware. His fusion of Hip-Hop, Highlife, and Afrobeats, paired with his philosophically tinged narrative style, mirrors the creative forces behind rap titans like Jay Z, Nas, J. Cole, and Obrafour.

"After I released GoodSin, my mother threatened to have me arrested." - olivetheboy

Olivetheboy, a rising musician, has disclosed that after releasing his successful song "GoodSin," his mother threatened to have him arrested.

Olivetheboy disclosed on MX24 that he tried to persuade his parents to let him pursue a full-time music career, but they were unimpressed and told him to concentrate on his studies and spirituality instead.

"When I was doing freestyles, they were really blowing up. People were reaching out at that time. And I was like, ‘Mom, you see, I can do this.’ And she was like, ‘Bro, focus on your school. You're from a Christian home,’ all that stuff," he shared.

Olivetheboy made the decision to pursue music without telling his parents, in spite of their disapproval. But once they found out about his secret, his mother threatened to call the police and have him taken into custody.

"Yeah. I was like, I'll do that. We bought forms for school. So I was waiting till I got to school, but in my head, I was like, the moment I step into school, I'm doing music. But she did not know. So I just started the first time my first EP came out. She called me, and then she told me she's going to get me arrested because she does not want me to do it. I should focus on school. She's going to get the people who put me under arrest and stuff. I was like, ‘Mom, you're not going to do that. You love me too much to do that,’" he recalled.
“But it was quite heartbreaking. But I knew why she was doing that. I knew why she was doing that because I was quite good with books, and she felt I could do something better with school than yeah,” he said.

Although his parents are progressively coming to terms with his musical journey, the singer also noted that he still has arguments with them over his career choices.

Ghanaian singer Sista Afia is attempting to establish whether she is the nation's most underappreciated female musician.

The "Weather" hitmaker asked her two million Instagram fans a crucial question on October 23rd: "Who is the most underrated female musician in Ghana?" She asked this question and included a few pictures from an occasion.

Sista Afia feels she may not be getting the credit she truly deserves, despite her impressive accomplishments and many nominations at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

Given her exceptional singing ability and lyrical skill, her post expresses her wish to be acknowledged and recognized as one of Ghana's most beloved female singers.
