THE GHANA CARD IS CONTRIBUTING TO LOW PRODUCTIVITY IN THE COUNTRY

The national identification card also known as the Ghana card is causing Ghanaians more stress and loss. The ordinary Ghanaian who wakes up in the morning and supposed to go about his daily hustle rather ends up wasting the whole day in a queue in the name of acquiring a Ghana card. This person won’t be bothered if he gets the card at the end of the day, but no, it takes weeks and even months in a queue to get a Ghana card.
But, if you want to skip the queue then you will have to pay bribe to the officials and you will get your Ghana Card as fast as possible.
Is it that they didn’t plan well before embarking on this digital journey? The officials also complain about unstable server and blaming it for slowing down the process.
These strong and able citizens who are supposed to go to work to support the growth of the economy are trapped in a queue, resulting to more chaos as the country is already in hardship. Ranging from high unemployment rate, increase in fuel price every second, high cost of rent and even food and water.
E-levy too hanging in the air, we are stressed already.

VETERAN ACTOR KOHWE, DIES AFTER SUFFERING FROM STROKE

Ace Ghana actor, Kofi Laing, popularly known as Kohwe, has died.

His daughter, Comfort Laing, who confirmed the news to ghanaweekend.com, said her father passed away at his residence in Accra on the evening of Thursday, September 16, 2021.

Kohwe is believed to be around age 75.

A few weeks ago, it was reported that he had suffered a stroke and was undergoing treatment at a health facility.

Two years ago, Kohwe spoke about his financial challenges; after which a former Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Barbara Oteng Gyasi, and a group called Cape Coast Oguaa, and other people, donated monies and items to him.

Kohwe is known for his sterling roles in the Akan Drama series and the popular ‘District Colonial Court.’
