A high percentage of sexually active heterosexual African women are known to have never achieved any or**sm through in*******se as opposed to q***r women.

For us, the or**sm gap is an injustice that needs addressing and fixing.

Join us today with and as we delve into the challenges, how we can close the gap and how women of all sexual orientations can maximise sexual pleasure.

We've all at one point or the heard the phrase "beauty is pain"

This is usually mentioned when women have to go through some painful experience to look beautiful.

Modern standards of beauty undoubtedly involves some level of pain.

Whereas some women don't mind the pain it requires to look and feel how they want to, others frown upon such; referring to them as patriarchal tools or conditioning.

Tomorrow on The Benewaa Show, we take a practical analytical look at the "beauty is pain notion" and its relationship with different women.

Join us on Instagram https://instagram.com/thebenewaashow?utm_medium=copy_link tomorrow at 4pm GMT and let's unpack this.

For as long as we can remember, women have been conditioned to be the caregivers, even at their own detriment. The strong black woman schema has seen women go above and beyond to care for others, to prove their worth and to affirm their feminity as prescribed by society.

The lack of self-care has claimed lives and been a major cause of some health issues like mental illnesses, hypertension, sexual reproductive health diseases, obesity, heart diseases, and many others amongst black women.

With a growing number of women breaking this harmful centuries old norm and centering themselves in their own lives, and attracting criticism for doing so, self-care has become a "bold" thing to do. As part of a specie with natural survival instincts, should self preservation not be a norm rather than a bold act?

Join us on The Benewaa Show tomorrow as we delve into the state of self-care amongst black women, and all you need to know about effectively practicing self-care as a black woman in a society that teaches you to prioritise everything and everyone but yourself.

Research shows a high intake of Emergency Contraceptive Pills amongst young women especially. Being an over the counter drug, there is little to no control over who is uses it and how it is used.

Fueled by the taboo surrounding sexual and reproductive health conversations, many young women have replaced regular contraceptives with emergency contraceptives without consultation with a professional or trained peer.

With support from Find My Method, we will in this episode of The Benewaa Show take a deep dive into what emergency contraceptives are, the realities of users, the do's and don'ts and everything else you need to know to use them safely.

You know one of those situations where a woman is either too much of something or too little of something? Yea! Colorism is one of those.

African women get shamed, refused jobs and even marriages or partnerships because they're either too dark, not dark enough or not fair enough.

Tomorrow, we'll be taking a look at how colorism and its associated discriminations affect women in all spheres of life.

A lot of NGOs and independent projects targeted at women and girls development struggle to sustain their activities due to unavailability of funds.

With majority of donors being foreign agencies receiving applications from thousands of organisations from all continents, its not unusual that grassroot African initiatives struggle financially.

Tomorrow on The Benewaa Show, we'll take a look at what funding means to such initiatives, their realities, what funding options are available and what they can do to better position themselves to access these funds. We start at 1pm as usual on Instagram live .

Unmarried men with kids are 'hotcakes', they're deemed to be responsible men but unmarried women with kids get snared at and called irresponsible for "not being able to keep a husband" or having kids whilst unmarried

Male politicians can say whatever and do whatever but focus is always on their competence, whereas their female counterparts are judged by everything they do except their competence. We question their marriages, haircut, accessories, and even inferred behaviour.

It's a really long list, unfortunately. On tomorrow's episode of The Benewaa Show, we'll delve into how society holds men to a different set of moral standards than it does women and how that affects women's well-being in all aspects.

Join us tomorrow at exactly 1pm on our Instagram page for yet another uncensored educative discussion

For the longest time, women have been the less sexual gender. Women's sexualities have been systematically repressed through shaming and very toxic socio-cultural norms and practices.

The effects thereof have been damaging both physically and mentally. Today we take a look at women living fully as sexual beings, taking back their power sexually and thriving in their bodily pleasure.

Join us at exactly 1pm GMT and let's get down raw and... πŸ˜‹

It's 2020 and women are still expected to automatically have the desire to have children. It's an anomaly to hear a woman say she doesn't want children.

Girls are socialised to have maternal instincts so much so that we've come to accept it as something that comes naturally to women.

This has women going great lengths to become mothers, sometimes at the detriment of their wellbeing.

Tomorrow at 1pm as usual, we're introducing a series of conversations on "redefining feminity" and we're kick-starting with one on "motherhood as a choice"

Instead of Instagram, we're doing it on Facebook live on our page: The Benewaa Show.

Do join us as we host Scarlett Iwrite Ewurama, learn a thing or two and share your thoughts.

Today we're looking at what the nomination of Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyeman means to the fight to achieve gender equality at highest offices of the country and what it actually takes to win this fight.

We are on today same time, same platform, don't miss it!
