Pronounced ə-ˈkɒnɒ, Akɔnɔ is the latest masterpiece from our Prestige ensembles. Inspired by the Ga word for “attractive” or “beautiful,” it carries profound meaning drawn from Proverbs 3:11a: “Ehãa nɔ fɛɛ nɔ feɔ akɔnɔ yɛ ebe mli.”
Akɔnɔ made its grand debut during the historic inauguration when Ghana swore in its first female Vice President, marking a monumental moment in the country’s history. Custom-woven for this occasion, it was proudly adorned by the former Minister for Gender, @nanaoyebampoeaddo
