I FOUND A NOTE UNDER THE TOILET SEAT IN MY FIANCÉE’S APARTMENT — I THOUGHT SHE WAS CHEATING, BUT THE TRUTH TURNED OUT TO BE MUCH WORSE

It was a normal day at my fiancée’s place until I went to use the restroom. I hadn't seen her for a while since I was traveling for my brother's wedding, so it was an especially exciting day. As I excused myself to the bathroom and lifted the seat, my heart dropped.

There was a folded, taped note with my name on it. Of course, my fiancée would never check that place, so there had to be some guy who had been there since my last visit.

So, a middle-aged couple moved in next door recently. No kids, just them. They came over to say hi and acted all weird, but I brushed it off. A week later, I went to visit my mom for the weekend. When I got back, I was ready to relax in my backyard after work, wearing my swimsuit to catch some sun and tend to my tomatoes. As I'm lying there, I glance over at their house, and BAM! I was fuming. No windows of theirs even face my yard, so that camera had no business being there. I told them they were violating my privacy, but they couldn't care less. Sure, I could've taken them to court, but who’s got the time for that? Instead, I cooked up a brilliant plan to teach them a lesson.

MY NEIGHBOR COMES HOME FOR 15 MINUTES EACH DAY FOR YEARS — I FINALLY DARED TO PEEK INTO THEIR HOME ONCE & WAS TAKEN ABACK.
I've been living in this home for 10 years and noticed one intriguing thing about our neighbors, Jill and Mike.
Ever since we moved here, I noticed that whatever the weather is, Mike drives back home at 4 p.m for 15 minutes EACH DAY. On days Jill goes to work, they come home together. They close all the curtains. If it's the weekend, they just close the curtains.
Don't think I'm a stalker, I just work from home and my window view is their doorstep.

MY HUSBAND LIED TO ME THAT HIS BOSS WOULDN'T GIVE HIM PATERNITY LEAVE – I GASPED WHEN I FOUND OUT HIS REASON

So, today, I was talking to my husband about us both taking paternity and maternity leave at the same time. You know, so that he could help me out with the baby and my recovery.

But then he drops this bombshell: he talked to his boss, and his boss wouldn't let him take leave because of some big project. Even worse, he hinted that my husband could get fired if he didn't go to another city for a few months to handle this project! I was super upset, but we really need his job since I won't be able to work for a while. So, I just had to accept it.

A few days later, I bumped into his boss's wife at the grocery store. We kinda knew each other from university, and she was all friendly, asking about the baby. I couldn't help it and snapped, saying something like, "Well, if your husband approved paternity leave and didn't send new dads away for work, things would be better." She looked so confused and said, "Actually, your husband is on paternity leave. I don't know what you're talking about."

MY DAUGHTER SHAMED ME FOR GETTING A TATTOO AT 75

I’m 75 and recently got my first tattoo. It’s something I’ve always wanted. When my daughter saw it, she said, “Mom, what on earth were you thinking? At your age, getting a tattoo is not just inappropriate, it’s downright embarrassing. You’re supposed to be a dignified grandmother, not some rebellious teenager. It looks ridiculous and people will laugh at you.”

Her harsh words cut deep, leaving me hurt and unsure about my decision. This tattoo was something I had always dreamed of, and I thought that by 75, no one would care, and I could finally be free to do what I wanted without judgment.

It was a 14-hour flight, so I paid for a premium economy seat because I wanted to be comfortable.
