Dreamers Need To Dream. 💭🥅

If you don’t put your dreams and goals down on paper, they’re never truly published in your mind’s eye. Writing them down enables you to revisit your goals and polish your plan of action to enable you to succeed. I like the concept of working backwards from your final goal to create an actionable path.

Goal #1: Happy and healthy kids, wife, and self. If we aren’t happy together in this life, then all the toys and trips in the world won’t change that, and our experiences in this life won’t be enjoyable…who wants to look back on an unhappy life when they’re on their deathbed? Not me.

Goal #2: Own five homes; live in one, and rent out the rest for cash flow. Being an owner has always interested me. When I was younger I confused ownership with management and a large workload. I now understand that I don’t want multiple jobs, but I do want ownership in muiltple ventures.

Goal #3: Own an airplane to take my family on trips around the US and Carribean. This is a newer goal to my mind, something that I never really looked into until recently. Whether or not I will have full or partial ownership, single or twin engine, and a 4 or a 6 seater is all besides the point. The goal is to have ownership level access to an airplane that will provide unforgettable experiences for us. Plus, who doesn’t want home videos of flying around beautiful blue and green waters?!

The 10 Year Goals all expand on this foundation. I’ll re-evaluate our happiness, health, and relationships, and work harder if I need to on keeping family the first priority. After that, I’ll work hard on expanding the portfolio and adventures. “Work hard play hard” is a concept I fully agree with and have tried to embody for most of my life.

So friends, publish your goals and dreams, if only for yourselves. Set lofty goals and work towards them. It doesn’t matter if you don’t check them all off the list. What matters is you are working hard toward something positive for yourself, and spending your limited time on this earth doing things that will bring a smile to your face when you look back on your life. I plan on providing yearly progress updates; Happy VDay 2022! 💙
